Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted in South Africa

The second season of Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted is coming in June. To give us a taste, E! News has revealed an exclusive sneak peek into his adventures. In the clip, Ramsay can be seen cooking with Chef Zola Nene. Suddenly Zola notices something creeping up behind Gordon. While he cooks, Zola can be heard saying she doesn’t want to scare Gordon. However, she does want to warn him. Zola says “we do have an uninvited guest here today.”

When Gordon asks Zola what she means, she tells him to look behind him. This is when he sees the hippo lurking in the river. In true Ramsay style, he and Zola continue cooking the food. However, the thought of the massive creature looming behind him is always on his mind. Meanwhile, video editors are quick on the mark to bleep out the many expletives used by Gordon. The number of bleeps clearly reveals just how nervous the chef is at the time.

As Chef Zola gasps, Ramsay can be heard speaking of the hippo. He exclaims, “He’s actually coming over. He’s not f**king around.” No doubt, this is going to be a very enjoyable episode!

Gordon Ramsay and KwaZulu-Natal

Besides meeting massive hippos, Ramsay is clearly having a real adventure in South Africa. In this episode, he is visiting KwaZulu-Natal in the south-east of the country. This is the ancestral land of the Zulu people. Farming and agriculture play a major role in Zulu culture. Using their traditional methods, many dishes in Zulu cuisine are organic and healthy. You will rarely find preservatives and added ingredients here.

In this particular Season 2 episode of Uncharted, Ramsay is working with South African chef and TV personality, Zola Nene. Zola has also authored a cookbook. It is her aim to share the flavors of her Zulu ancestors with the rest of the world.

South Africa, and particularly KwaZulu-Natal, is a melting pot of cultures. Local cuisine is influenced by the Zulus, the Dutch settlers, British colonists and Indian laborers who moved here. This combination of cultures makes a diverse and delicious choice of regional cuisine. While Gordon is in the area, he learns about the curries, spices, and other ingredients used in South African dishes.

  1. You know what is do DISGUSTING about the USA? The fact that so many people have no problem with seeing Gordon Ramsay or the guy from Bar Rescue yelling at people because they didn’t cook or prepare a drink properly, but there’s NOT ONE FCKG SHOW about a home health case or home health issue where people are NEGLECTING ELDERLY OR DISABLED PEOPLE. YEah, that’s right you stupid MTFCKERS you care more about how somebody isn’t preparing a drink or chicken correctly than how someone getting paid to care for an elderly or disabled person cares for a vulnerable person. FU you phony idiots. WHY can’t you come up with a show like that? How about you go into a home health case and see how some lazy caregiver is on their fckg cell phone their entire shift and isn’t paying attention to the needs of a person who can’t speak for themselves? Why don’t you do tthat??????
