‘Bachelor’: Arie Luyendyk Feels Peter Weber Wasn’t As ‘Bad As He Seems’

Bachelor: Arie and Lauren Luyendyk

Bachelor stars Arie Luyendyk and Lauren married and seem very happy. They already have one child and think about another. But, much like Peter Weber, Lauren wasn’t his main choice 0n the ABC show. Now, Arie says that the way the show’s set up means that Peter maybe not as “bad as he seems.”

Bachelor – Arie Luyendyk and Lauren know the way the Bravo show works

When it comes to Peter Weber’s season on the show, Arie and Lauren probably best identify with him. After all, at one stage, Arie became described as the most hated lead of all time. Fans shared that he chose Becca Kufrin but later went back with Lauren who ended up his runner-up on the show. Since then, Peter came along and ended up in the same sort of scenario. He first chose Hannah Ann Sluss, but later dumped her and took up with Madison briefly.

Arie and Lauren, therefore, know that in the background of the show, certain influences could make people change their minds. TV Shows Ace reported that Arie and Lauren worked out so well, that they seem very happily married.

They already produced one child. And, they look towards enlarging their family. However, the Bachelor alum certainly seems to not thank the production crew for the way things worked out for good.

Pete Weber might not be so bad, Arie thinks

According to Arie, the show actually seems to encourage failure rather than success. He and Lauren spoke to US Weekly, and noted: “I’ve got to say as a Bachelor, I feel like you’re almost set up to fail.”‘ From his perspective, success stories seem unusual. He cited Sean Lowe, Catherine Giudici, as an example. Talking about Peter Weber, Lauren told the outlet, “There’s so much that you don’t see that goes into it.” So, she feels that possibly things happened that “caused him to do those things.”

Notably, Lauren added, “So even if [Peter] looks like the worst… he probably wasn’t as bad as he seems,.'” Lauren Burnham noted, “There’s probably things that happened.”‘ And, from Arie’s perspective, he feels that fans don’t grasp how much pressure the leads live under. Plus, Arie’s not the only person who thinks the show sometimes puts the leads in a difficult position.

Colton Underwood couldn’t speak out during Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor as he “knew too much.” However, afterward, he mentioned sometimes he felt lines started “getting crossed.” But, the producer’s simply admonished him.
