90 Day Finacé stars Avery Mills and Omar Albakkour returned for TLC’s limited series 90 Day Fiancé: Self-Quarantined this past Monday.

According to InTouch Weekly, the couple shared an update on Omar’s visa process. But it looks like his visa has been put on pause just like most other things in the world right now. Omar’s interview for his spousal visa is currently postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

During Monday’s episode, Avery stated that the couple has been married for over a year now. They have been waiting a long time for him to come to the United States. She then shared that the pair talk via FaceTime for about two to three hours every day, along with lots of texting.

She went on to say, “There’s really not much of a difference with Omar and I’s relationship right now during this crisis because we usually only talk via text or video chat. So in that sense, it didn’t change.”

The 90 Day Fiancé star then opened up about her trip to Lebanon to visit Omar and meet his family in person for the first time. Check out season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé: What Now? to see Avery and Omar’s trip.

She returned from the trip with great news. She said, “we had an interview scheduled for his spousal visa for him to come to the United States for March 30. Unfortunately, just a few days before his interview, we got news that it was canceled due to COVID-19.”

For the time being, Avery lives in Columbus, Ohio and Omar lives in his native country of Syria. Avery lives alone and is still attending a local college.

Back up plan for the pair

Despite all the craziness, Avery and Omar have decided on a back-up plan for their future together. This plan is just in case if Omar’s spousal visa does not get approved.

Avery said, “If he doesn’t get to come here within the next six months, we are going to move to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Dubai.” But if the couple moves forward with this it will definitely ruin there chances of starting a life together in the US as Avery will have to quit her job.
