’90 Day Fiance’: Big Ed Claims He Got 37 Marriage Proposals After Split From Rose
90 Day Fiance star Big Ed gets loads of disapproval. So much so, that even another cast member, Ricky Reyes wants him off the TLC franchise. Apparently a successful photographer and an engineer, he seemed wealthy, but that might not be the case. Nevertheless, Big Ed said that after he split from Rose, he got 37 marriage proposals.

TV Shows Ace reported that Big Ed takes a lot of heat from critics. They hate that he asked Rose to shave her legs and use hygiene products which fans felt demeaned her. Plus, he wanted her to take an STD test but didn’t take one himself. Rose also grew very angry as she wanted children, but he wanted a vasectomy. So, she dumped him. Later, allegations of s*xual assault emerged, amidst criticism that he talks to minors on his Instagram Live.
Unusually, he got Ricky Reyes, a rather controversial character from Season 2, calling for his removal. We noted that fans often call for cast members’ removal, but seldom do the actual cast join in. The Blast reported that Big Ed seems unconcerned with all the allegations and pointedly ignores all haters. Big Ed loves his Live chats and shares them on Instagram all the time. This weekend he went live and talked about the split from Rose. The 90 Day Fiance star also mentioned marriage proposals.
37 people want to marry Ed, he claims
During his Instagram Live, the outlet noted that Big Ed spoke to an adoring fan. They said, “Oh my god. I don’t even know what to say because I’m a ’90 Day Fiancé’ fan. I literally love you so much.” Well, he seemed grateful and mentioned the “hate” he gets right now. He spent more time talking to other people and the subject of Rose came up. During his chat, he mentioned that since the split from Rose, 37 people wanted to marry him.
However, his attraction might pale somewhat as another story went viral on the weekend. TV Shows Ace reported that he’s not as wealthy as he made out. In fact, he filed for “bankruptcy twice.” Several outlets, including Starcasm, revealed the facts. Actually, they noted that at one stage, he only had $63 in his account and owed a lot of money. That came in a 2004 filing. Then in 2017, he only had access to just over $200, with liabilities totally nearly $200k. So, 90 Day Fiance fans who wish for marriage might end up very disappointed.
