Former Bachelor donates plasma to hospital after recovering from coronavirus

Per Us Weekly, Colton Underwood made a generous donation. He donated his plasma to Children’s Hospital Colorado. This comes after the reality made a full recovery from coronavirus. Colton took to Instagram on Thursday, May 14 to make the announcement with his followers.

“Today, I had the pleasure to be around the amazing staff at Children’s Hospital Colorado,” Colton wrote in the post. “I was finally able to donate my convalescent plasma/blood in hopes that it is used for patients recovering from COVID-19 and research purposes.”

He also shared two photos. One of them shows himself next to a healthcare worker and another photo of himself holding up his plasma donation to the camera. Colton calls the experience “meaningful” and teased that he will donate more in the future.

On March 20, Colton announced that he tested positive for coronavirus. He was open and honest about his various symptoms on social media. Some of Colton’s symptoms included difficulty breathing, exhaustion, and night sweats. On April 7, the former NFL player announced that he made “a full recovery.” He also thanked his girlfriend, Cassie Randolph, and her family for taking good care of him. Colton plans to help healthcare workers fight the disease.

Bachelor Nation fans are concerned about Cassie and Colton’s relationship. They assumed the couple split after they stopped posting about each other on social media. Colton quickly returned to his home in Colorado after he fully recovered from the virus.

An insider told Us Weekly that the Bachelor alums are still together. The couple is spending time apart amid the coronavirus pandemic. Colton missed his family in Colorado and wanted to spend some time with them.

“Everything is fine,” the source told the outlet. “[Colton] is just in Colorado visiting with his family since he hasn’t been with them since the pandemic broke and recovering from COVID-19 himself. He was with Cassie up until the night he left for Colorado, but he’ll back in L.A. soon. They’re both just enjoying time with their families.”

Colton’s last post about Cassie was on her April 27th birthday. Meanwhile, she hasn’t shared anything about him since April 19. Fans flocked to Colton’s Instagram post, asking him about the current status on their relationship.
