Carlin Bates Stewart Celebrates First Mother’s Day
On Sunday, May 10, Carlin Bates of Bringing Up Bates celebrated her first Mother’s Day. This is an exciting milestone for the new mom. To honor her, her husband Evan Stewart shares a heartfelt tribute to his wife. He shares a picture of Carlin cradling their four-month-old baby, Layla Rae.
In his caption, Evan writes about Carlin as a mother. He says, “You have taken on so many roles in one year and I’m so proud of the person you have become. You started your own business, became a wife, and now a mother! The way you show love and your willingness to always put yourself last is proof your ‘best mom’ level is at 💯.”
Then, Carlin Bates’ husband sweetly adds, “I’ll never forget the day I watched you bring our daughter in this world. My love for you grew even more that day, and it continues to grow a little more each day!”

In response, Carlin comments and says that Evan and Layla are her “world.” She also talks about how grateful she is for the opportunity to be a mom. Carlin says, “There is nothing I love more than being a mother to our sweet baby girl!”

Though the focus of Evan’s post is Carlin and her role as a mother, Evan also takes the time to honor his own mother and mother-in-law. He shares a picture of himself and Carlin with his parents. Plus, he shares a picture of himself with Kelly Jo Bates. He wishes his “hard working and loving mom” a Happy Mother’s Day. Then, he sends the same sentiment to Kelly Jo.

Carlin Bates recently became a mama. She and her husband welcomed their first child to the world on January 31, 2020. They named the baby Layla Rae.
In a recent YouTube video, Carlin and Evan reveal that Layla was having oxygen issues. This is a scary moment, especially so early in parenthood, but now Layla seems to be doing well.
Since her arrival, the two parents have been smitten with Layla. They are often gushing about her on social media and sharing the sweetest pictures of her as she grows. In a quick Mother’s Day snap on her Instagram stories, Carlin thanks Layla for making her a mom. She also says she doesn’t love anything more than she loves being a mom to Layla.
