‘90 Day Fiancè’ Star Big Ed Talks Meeting Rose And Being ‘Teased’ For His Looks
Ed Brown of 90 Day Fiancè has been interviewed about his journey with Rosemarie Vega. The TLC reality star also opened up about his past and the fact he has been teased about his appearance since he was five.
90 Day Fiancè star Big Ed speaks about Rose and his past
Big Ed was interviewed on The Night Time Show podcast on Saturday, May 9. During the interview, the guest star spoke about his journey with Rosemarie (Rose) Vega. He explained how he became a part of the TLC reality show, 90 Day Fiancè.
The reality TV couple, Big Ed and Rose, definitely face a number of challenges during this season. This includes the age difference, where Big Ed is 55, and Rose is 23. The age difference particularly upsets Ed’s only daughter, who is only a little older as Rose.
The latest problem relates to the fact Big Ed has told Rose he doesn’t want more children. He opens up and tells her he is planning to get a vasectomy. This really upsets the mother-of-one, who wants more babies to keep her four-year-old son, Prince, company.
Brown had traveled from his home in San Diego, California, to the Philippines to meet up with Vega after connecting via Facebook. At that stage, Ed had never heard of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. However, once producers saw his posts about Rose they wanted to interview him.
90 Day Fiancè star Big Ed never thought of Rose as a ‘young girl’
Speaking of the age gap between himself and Rose, Ed says he “never thought of her as this young girl.” He says she just became a single mother he wanted to help. During the interview, he describes his first conversation with Rose.
In that chat, he explains to Rose that he is 54 and old enough to be her father. Rose came back, saying Ed was actually one year older than her dad. Ed thought this was great, and he wanted them to “just be friends.” Surprisingly, Rose came back with the term “age is just a number.” Big Ed says he’ll never forget that.

Ed’s daughter and ex-wife loved 90 Day Fiancé
The 90 Day Fiancé star shared that on meeting Rose in person, the connection was “immediate.” He said she was both “hilarious” and “adorable.” Of course, his daughter, Tiffany, 29, instantly disapproved of his appearance in the TLC reality show.
Big Ed says his daughter, Tiffany, and his former wife are both “90 Day Fiancé people.” He says they watch every episode of the TLC show. However, when he phoned his daughter to say he was thinking of being on the show, Tiffany told him he was an idiot and hung up the phone on him.
Big Ed opens up about his personal life
Besides his appearance on the TLC reality show, Big Ed also spoke about his personal life. He says he has been teased about his neck (or lack of it) since he was five years old. Ed even refers to himself as looking like Quasimodo. He says people are uncomfortable when seeing something that is out of the ordinary. His feeling is you can be different and embrace it. He doesn’t let it define him and says you can laugh at yourself.
