The Real Housewives of Atlanta may be going through a big cast shake-up ahead of Season 13. Amid rumors that Cynthia Bailey will not return comes the even more shocking news of which RHOA alum may replace her. The name going around online gossip blogs is Phaedra Parks.

Where did the rumors come from? Plus, Kenya Moore and NeNe Leakes face off in the Season 12 reunion this weekend.

Inside the RHOA Rumors That Cynthia is Out and Phaedra Is In

Last week a blogger known as Tamara Tattles posted news that Cynthia had been offered a reduced role. The blogger claims the info came from a source in the RHOA production team.

The deal is similar to what was offered to RHOC’s Vicki Gunvalson. Vicki accepted a demotion for Season 14. However, she opted to leave instead of returning in a smaller role for Season 15.

TV Shows Ace reports that Cynthia is being “Vicki Gunvalsoned” for Season 13 of RHOA.

Several media outlets, including The Blast, picked up an earlier story from April 15 from UK outlet The Sun. The article alleges that Phaedra Parks is in talks with Bravo to return to RHOA for Season 13.

As a result, the news of Cynthia’s alleged firing is rumored to be connected to Phaedra’s potential return. Phaedra was sent packing from RHOA after spreading nasty rumors about Kandi Burruss during Season 9.

Neither Bravo, Phaedra or Cynthia have commented on the rumors.

However, Cynthia did post a throwback modeling photo with a caption that referenced Season 12’s ‘Snakegate.’

Someone in the cast, the ‘snake’ allegedly heard an audio recording of Cynthia badmouthing NeNe. TV Shows Ace reports that the rumored ‘snake,’ Yovanna Momplaisir, denies such audio ever existed. Rather, she claims at the reunion that NeNe made the entire thing up for camera time.

Reunion Filmed Virtually Last Month

Yovanna’s shocking claim isn’t the only hot topic at the reunion. Reportedly, Kenya outs NeNe’s alleged affair with a man from Maryland.

Production on all Bravo shows is currently shut down until the coronavirus pandemic is under control. That means many shows are either unable to start production on new seasons, such as RHOC. Or they are unable to wrap up a season with the much-anticipated reunion filming.

Such is the case with RHOA and Vanderpump Rules. Filming together in a studio is impossible right now. In order to give fans the beloved reunion episodes, Bravo turned to technology for help. Each star films from their own home via webcam.

That does present its own issues, such as the Bravolebrities turning off their cameras when things get tense. In fact, NeNe seems to do that several times during the RHOA reunion trailer.

NeNe Calls Kenya a ‘B**ch’ One Minute Into the Reunion

Bravo TV recently shared a new clip of the start of the three-part reunion. From the get-go, Kenya and NeNe go at it.

Host Andy Cohen asks Kenya about ‘Ken,’ one of her several personas. NeNe retorts that she likes ‘Ken’ better than Kenya. Porsha Williams chimes in that it was “almost a compliment” from NeNe.

However, the conversation takes a turn for the worse when NeNe refers to Kenya as a “b**ch.”

Kenya jokes that the reunion is “ahead of schedule” because the insults were flying within the first minute.

The drama-filled The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion starts this Sunday, May 10, on Bravo.
