Fans of The Bachelorette are wondering if Matt James will appear on Clare Crawley’s season. This comes after she seemingly threw shade at him on social media last week. Chris Harrison addressed their feud as well as the status of the show. The Bachelorette is currently postponed amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Rumors swirled that major changes could take place. The cast and crew may film at one location only. This means no hometown dates or international trips. The pandemic is changing reality TV as people know it. There are also rumors swirling about the group of men during Crawley’s season.

Chris Harrison addresses the drama between Matt James and Clare Crawley

The ABC host sat down for an interview with Entertainment Tonight’s Lauren Zima. Chris Harrison talked about the drama between Clare Crawley and Matt James. Fans want to know if James will appear on Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette. Harrison simply stated that it was “up to Matt” whether he will return to the show once filming resumes.

“As far as I know, [he’ll still be a contestant],” Harrison said. “I mean, I have not heard anything different. I mean, I don’t know if he wants to do this after quarantine, who knows? But as far as I know, yes.”

Crawley found herself in a feud with James when she tweeted that he and the other contestants may not be there for the right reasons. She felt that James just wanted to become famous. James responded to Crawley’s tweets, insisting that the earnings from his Cameo account were donated to The Robin Hood Foundation, a charity organization that combats poverty in New York City.

But Harrison doesn’t think Crawley wasn’t “calling anybody in particular out.” He also insisted that she’s not upset with James or any of the men for that matter. Crawley isn’t upset that the men are giving back during this time of need.

ABC host gives a Bachelorette update

Fans are looking forward to seeing Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette. Now that some states are relaxing restrictions on social distancing and businesses are opening back up, Harrison said it’s likely that Crawley’s season could be relocated, as per Entertainment Tonight.

“Right now it is still up in the air as far as timing goes,” Harrison explained. “The state of California just took a step back. Who knows what is going on, so maybe we leave. Maybe we have to go to a state that has their stuff together and we can shoot.”

If everything works out, Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette could resume filming in the later part of the summer and could air in the fall. But Harrison doesn’t want to make the show look “weird.” While the season will address what’s going on, he doesn’t want it to turn into the “quarantine version” of The Bachelorette. The focus will still very much be on love.
