The coronavirus continues to wreak havoc across the entertainment industry and now it is impacting Bravo’s upcoming Season 5 of Real Housewives of Potomac. Season 5 was set to premiere in May, but network executives ended up pushing it until later in the summer.

Real Housewives of Potomac delayed amid coronavirus pandemic

The postponement comes as the coronavirus has ceased production on a handful of reality shows across the industry including shows like Southern Charm, Below Deck, Married to Medicine, The Real Housewives of New Jersey, The Real Housewives of Dallas, and The Real Housewives of Orange County.

Bravo has also announced that they are filming The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 12 reunion remotely. Andy Cohen addressed the situation on his SiriusXM radio show saying: “We want to be in the same room, but we cannot risk the health and safety of our Housewives and our incredible crew in Georgia.”

“We need to reset the table with the ladies in Atlanta,” he continued. “If we wait for this pandemic to be over for when we all are in the same room, it’s going to delay everything. We need to move forward. We need to live in reality right now. And reality right now is if we’re going to do this, we’re going to do this virtually.”

RHOP newest season looks to be explosive

The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion taping is on Thursday. It will air across the next two Sundays. Cohen is also currently filming Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen from his home. He will begin filming Summer House Season 4 reunion show remotely.
