While writing about her video, Jessa says, “She’s the most patient, gentle and loving woman I know. She’s a storehouse of wisdom for me as a young mom. She’s a gem, and I feel so blessed to call her my mom!” In her video, Jessa talks about Michelle’s patience and says that she prays for that same patience for her own children.

Jessa shares that her mom let the kids make messes and let them be kids. Jessa says that one of her favorite memories is making forts with the couch cushions, blankets, and pillows. She said that she really appreciates those moments with her family. And, she loves that her mom let them “be kids.” They would go out and play in the mud and rain. Michelle didn’t have a problem with doing an extra load of laundry so the kids could enjoy themselves in nature.

In Jessa’s video, she also says that Michelle would take time to communicate with the kids. If the kids were yelling or dealing with some emotions, Michelle talked through it with them instead of asking them to stop yelling.

From the video, it sounds like Jessa really appreciates her childhood, and it seems like she wants to be the same type of mom to her own children. You can hear about all of Jessa’s favorite memories of growing up in the Duggar home in this video:
