’90 Day Fiance: The Other Way’ Season 2 Gets Release Date and Confirmed Cast
90 Day Fiance: The Other Way is back. Season 2 is just around the corner, and we get to see two of the couples from the first season return. Are you ready?
People Magazine confirms the premiere date for the sophomore season will be on June 1. Six couples will be the focus for the season, with two of them returning from the first season. Who will make their return and who do we get to meet?
Two Returning Couples
Jenny and Sumit and Deavan and Jihoon are the returning couples. It makes sense considering the way their stories finished in the first season. Plus, we get to see whether love can work after some of the heartbreak they faced.
90 Day Fiance: The Other Way fans will remember that Jenny uprooted her whole life only to find out that Sumit was already married. Granted, it was an arranged marriage, but he had kept this from her. Jenny returned to America with a broken heart. The second season will see her return to India now that Sumit and his ex-wife are divorcing.
Deavan and Jihoon met during the first season. While they want to be happy, there are a lot of cultural differences that get in the way. These are still problems for 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way Season 2, but there’s hope they can get over them.
New Couples on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way Season 2
What about the other four couples? Brittany and Yazan, Kenneth and Armando, Ariela and Biniyam, and Tim and Melyza are the four that fans will get to meet in the new season.
For 26-year-old Brittany and 24-year-old Yazan, it was love at first sight through video chat. Brittany is moving to Jordan to be with her love, but there are plenty of obstacles in their path. One of those is going to be religion. While Yazan is a devout Muslim, Brittany doesn’t have a faith and won’t convert. This will cause problems with Yazan’s family.
Kenneth, 57, will make the move to Mexico for 31-year-old Armando. The two met through a gay father’s support group and immediately built a bond. One of the problems for this couple is Armando’s family, who refuses to accept Armando is gay and Kenneth doesn’t know this.
Biniyam, 29, will wait for 28-year-old Ariela to come to Ethiopia. The two met in his country when Ariela was soul searching after a divorce. After Ariela went back home, she found out she was pregnant so she decided to go to Ethiopia for the baby’s birth. Some of the problems the couple will face on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way Season 2 include the healthcare system and living conditions.
Finally, 34-year-old Tim will move to Colombia for 29-year-old Melyza. This is an interesting relationship as it initially saw Melyza move to Texas to be with Tim. When Tim’s actions caused a loss of trust, Melyza went back home. Now it’s Tim’s turn to prove their love can work.
