The Deadliest Catch Season 16 is starting on Tuesday, April 14, with a special two-hour premiere event. Back for more crab fishing is Captain Keith Colburn, from The Wizard. Even those working the deadliest job in the world can’t step away from danger. The Deadliest Catch captains and crew left the dangerous Bering Sea, only to be forced to ride out the worldwide coronavirus epidemic.

The Coronavirus Is Like A ‘Rogue Wave’

According to a recent interview with Captain Keith Colburn who spoke with Build, he is currently in Idaho with his girlfriend. The surly captain admits that all is going fine. With a twinkle in his eye, he revealed that she has not kicked him out of the house “yet.”

On a serious note, he did assure fans that his family is ok. His son is in Texas and his daughter is in Bellingham, Washington. They are all doing their best. But he compares the coronavirus to experiencing a “rogue wave that’s hit America and the world.” Then he added, “we gotta ride out that storm.” He pointed out that riding out a rogue wave brings people together. Keith says that the virus will do the same.

Prior to becoming a captain, Keith Colburn was a French sous chef. So, he was asked what he is cooking now that he is staying isolated. Keith revealed that as he is with his girlfriend, he has been having a lot of date nights. He admits that after two years of being single, he is happy to have someone. And he is preparing a lot of yummy food as they feast through the crisis.

What sorts of gourmet dishes is he preparing? Two of his delectable dishes includes Beef Wellington, a beef tenderloin, wrapped in a pancake and baked in puff pastry. He has also made up an entire Thanksgiving dinner. Lasty, Keith shared that he made a delicious potato-leek soup. He says he is also using the grill and smoking a lot of meat. Sounds like his cooking game is as great as his fishing game.

Because there are no sports Keith is watching Breaking Bad. Of course, others are binging the Deadliest Catch. What should fans expect for Season 16?
