On Tuesday night’s episode of Little People, Big World, Tori Roloff has an ultrasound. She and Zach Roloff are expecting their second child together. They already have one son, Jackson. This ultrasound is very important, as it’s when the couple finds out whether their second baby has dwarfism. They’ve already found out that their second baby is a girl, so the main focus is the baby’s possible diagnosis. As LPBW fans know, Zach has a form of dwarfism called achondroplasia. His mother also has the same type of dwarfism. And, Jackson has achondroplasia dwarfism too. The baby has a 50% chance of having the same kind of dwarfism.

At this point, Jackson has yet to have any health issues associated with his dwarfism. But, not everyone with dwarfism is so lucky. And, Jackson is only a toddler, so things could change. For this reason, the Roloff family hopes that their baby girl on the way will not have the same condition.

LPBW stars Zach and Tori find out the baby’s a little person

While at the ultrasound, the doctor says, “Her head is larger and most of the long bones are about two weeks behind, so everything is kind of measuring right on track for achondroplasia.” This isn’t necessarily a shock for the couple, but they are sad about it. In particular, they are worried about their daughter’s health. As mentioned, there’s a chance she will have health issues later in life.

After the ultrasound, the couple gets in their car. This is when the emotions hit and Tori starts crying. The appointment was a difficult one. And, even though they were prepared for the news, the confirmation really hit them hard. Most importantly, they just want a healthy baby. They’re worried about the health issues to come.

On the episode, Tori and Zach talk about how Jackson has been healthy so far. And, above all else, they hope the same is true for their baby girl. They want to have a healthy baby, whether she’s a little person or not. So, even though she’s a little person, they’re only concerned with her health. They love her the same, just as all parents do.
