Most of the country has been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic. Many states have stay-at-home orders in place, shuttering bars, restaurants and offices. With so many people out of work, they seek help where they can get it. Vanderpump Rules’ Raquel Leviss feels for them.

The VPR star took to Instagram last week to give her thoughts on what people can do to help one another through the coronavirus crisis.

VPR Newbie Raquel Leviss Reveals Fans Are Asking Her to Send Them Money

Raquel barely started her new job at SUR before the coronavirus outbreak forced all restaurants in California to close temporarily. Unlike her VPR co-stars who have been on the show for years, Raquel is still struggling financially and depends on her SURver job for income.

Some of Raquel’s social media followers assume she’s raking in the big bucks because she’s on TV. As a result, fans are asking her to send them money to help them during this difficult time.

Raquel also models and she shared a sneak peek at one of her recent jobs, before the country basically shut down. In the photo’s caption, she responded to the requests for money.

‘Currently Unemployed’

Raquel cited her current employment status as a reason why she can’t help anyone. She wrote,

“I apologize to those who have reached out requesting $ from me to help with hardships. Unfortunately I’m not in a place to donate to individuals at this time and I feel horrible about that.”

However, there is one thing she can do. Stay inside. Raquel encouraged her fans to “do their part” and remain indoors as much as possible.

Many fans were aghast to find out that other fans were asking her for money. One commented that it is “awful and rude” for people to ask a famous person for money. Another called it “weird.”

However, Raquel isn’t the only VPR star getting money requests from fans.

Us Weekly reports that Raquel’s co-star, Scheana Shay, had to tell people to stop sending her money requests on the Venmo app.

Some VPR Stars Are Donating Goods and Money

Scheana is one of the few original VPR stars who still takes shifts at SUR. Most of the OGs have moved on to greener pastures, you might say. Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz co-own a small part of Lisa Vanderpump’s TomTom bar.

TV Shows Ace reported that the two Toms joined the celebrity shout-out app Cameo recently to raise funds for laid-off TomTom employees.

Other VPR co-stars tagged each other in a #doyourpart challenge on Instagram. Stassi Schroeder, Ariana Madix and Brittany Cartwright all participated in the challenge.

They each posted on their personal Instagram instructions for fans to email them their addresses and a list of essential items needed. A few chosen fans would receive the items they requested.

Tell us in the comments what you’ve done to help others – financial or otherwise – get through the coronavirus crisis.
