Michelle Money, Ex-Husband Ryan Give Update On Daughter Brielle’s Brain Swelling
Times are hard and intense for Michelle Money and her ex-husband Ryan Money. They are taking turns staying 24 hours each in their daughter Brielle’s ICU room in Utah. Together update fans and are joined in helping their daughter recover from her horrific skateboarding accident this week. Brielle has extensive brain trauma the physicians are treating. Michelle and Ryan give an update on Brie
Ryan went to Instagram to share an update on Brielle Friday, April 3 at noon. Michelle re-shared his post for followers. He talked about the results the most recent CT scans showed of Brie’s brain. He said the scan gave them good news. It showed that Brie had no new swelling occuring.
He said, “The bruising and swelling in Brie’s head has gone down. No new swelling. *Also, Brie had a blood clot in her jugular, the angiogram showed the blood is now flowing through that vein. *The nurses worked overtime and got Brie on an airbed. This will allow them to move her around better and be more comfortable for her.”
He went on to explain that most kids in this hospital are smaller and therefore easier to move around. Ryan said, “Brie being older has its pluses (more tolerance of medicine) and its disadvantages (she is hard to move around and it takes longer to do most anything with her).”

With the good comes the bad
Ryan shared that Michelle had taken his place in ICU at 8PM Thursday evening. With the current coronavirus pandemic, only one parent can be in the hospital for a 24 hour period. Upon entering the hospital they have to be checked for fever, wear a mask, etc. Michelle shared video of this on her Instagram story.
Thursday night proved to be the worst night Brie has had while there. Ryan went on to explain, “The pressure in her brain was almost twice as high as it has ever been. It was a rough night and definitely for the 2 steps forward she had with the Scans yesterday this was a step back. The doctors are not sure why this happened and have been working on her all morning.”
She also had fluid in her lungs and sinuses. They were able to suction this out. Since Brielle is at a risk for infection she is on antibiotics. Ryan continued his post saying, “They have since got her pressure down a bit but are giving her much larger doses of medicine. They said that if her numbers get up that high again they will have to put her in a deeper comatose state/ medically induced coma. They have been trying to wean her off of these drugs and it does not seem like that is going to happen today. – we have had a bit of negative news today. Been a tough one. – THANK YOU again for your prayers – we are using them up.”
