What Is Black Hearted Killer About?
In this psychological thriller, a married couple, Julie (McNiven) and Dennis (Abrahams) Cummings, experience the worst thing a parent can ever imagine. Their young daughter Madison dies in a car accident. Losing their only child devastates this couple.
Heartbroken, they decide to donate her organs and help save other lives. Julie and Dennis never intend on contacting or keeping in touch with any of the recipients. Oregon law does not reveal donors or recipients unless both parties are willing to meet. But, the Cummings are soon to have a meeting that will alter their lives forever.
But, one day, Vera (Jakle) reaches out to them. She has their daughter’s heart and she wants to meet this couple that changed her life. The trio become very close. According to the preview that Kelley Jakle posted on Instagram, they have dinners together. In some ways, Vera becomes a surrogate daughter.
But, in the very Lifetime way, things start to get creepy. Dennis and Julie start to fight. He blames the issues on Vera. But, Julie will not let go. Things change when Vera starts to cross boundaries. Then, this loving couple suddenly find themselves in terrible danger!

According to Julie McNiven’s Instagram, Black Hearted Killer was filmed in foggy Los Angeles, back in November 2019. Most of the scenes are in a residential area of this lovely Los Angeles area. Actress Kelley Jakle is one of the co-producers.
