HBO Gives Nearly 500 Hours Of Free Streaming During The Coronavirus Pandemic

HBO wants to ease the boredom of the coronavirus quarantine. The streaming network is now giving almost 500 hours of free programming. This includes some current favorites like Veep, and old favorite series such as The Sopranos. What other shows should people expect and how can you stream this for free?

HBO Offers Free Streaming

Stuck at home due to the coronavirus quarantine? Run out of series to watch? HBO is now offering free streaming for their HBO Now and HBO Go, without subscription. According to Variety, this offer of free content starts on Friday, April 3.

What are some of the complete series available for free? The free HBO original series includes Veep, The Sopranos, Succession, Silicon Valley, Barry, Ballers, The Wire, Six Feet Under and True Blood.

In addition, the movies in the free offer includes McMillion$. Don’t forget the kid-friendly Pokémon Detective Pikachu and The Lego Movie 2. And for those who may have listened to the first season of the podcast Serial, they may want to watch The Case Against Adnan Syed. And for those who have not listened, they may decide to take a deep dive into this fascinating and complex murder.

But, if you never have seen Game of Thrones, or never got to see who wound up on the iron throne, you are out of luck. Such shows as GoT, Westworld, Euphoria, Big Little LIes and Chernobyl are only available to regular HBO subscribers. HBO is giving out weeks of endless content, but not their entire catalogue.

Other Streaming Networks Giving Free Content

HBO is not the first streaming network to give out free content. Although, they may have some of the most popular shows available for free. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, the Hallmark Channel also offered 30 days of free streaming of their Hallmark Movies Now SVOD platform.

This means a cornucopia of Christmas and regular season romances for those who love the Hallmark Channel. This includes such favorites as the Katherine McPhee movie, In My Dreams and Rachael Boston Christmas classic movie, Ice Sculpture Christmas. HMN also streams the complete Signed, Sealed and Delivered mystery series and When Hope Calls, the When Calls the Heart spinoff.

Acorn TV has also offered free streaming for 30 days. According to their site, they will give new streamers 30 days free with the offer code FREE30. This means that a TV Shows Ace favorite, Agatha Raisin, can be streamed for free
