Two Vanderpump Rules weddings have been disrupted due to the coronavirus pandemic of 2020. And we don’t mean Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz forgetting to file their official marriage license.
VPR Star Lala Kent Postpones Wedding
Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent was set to marry Hollywood producer, Randall Emmett, on April 18. However, with many states cracking down on mass gatherings, she had no choice but to postpone it. The new date is in July, but there’s no way to know if the coronavirus crisis will be over by then.
As TV Shows Ace wrote, Lala opened up about the situation on her podcast recently. The former SURver got emotional when she talked about having all of her wedding plans upended. The wedding was almost two years in the making.
Stassi Schroeder’s Wedding Still a Go
Lala’s Vanderpump Rules co-star, Stassi Schroeder, just got engaged in 2019. The proposal will air on VPR this season. Stassi and her fiance, Beau Clark, have their hearts set on a destination wedding in Rome, Italy in early October.
As you’ve likely heard on the news, Italy is one of the countries hit the hardest from coronavirus. In fact, much of the country is now on total lockdown.
Former The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Joe Giudice is living in Italy. He often posts videos on his Instagram showing deserted streets, though he is staying indoors more now that the lockdown is stricter.
Despite the pandemic, Stassi and Beau are continuing to plan their wedding. They appeared alongside other VPR stars on Tuesday’s Watch What Happens Live. According to Stassi, they don’t know one way or another yet. But, they are “keeping on it.”
In fact, Stassi revealed that they already purchased their plane tickets because they’re “really cheap” at the moment. As Stassi says, “who the heck knows” when Italy or even the U.S. will be back to normal after the coronavirus outbreak, People reports.
VPR Star’s Family Lives in Italy
One of the reasons Beau and Stassi chose Italy is because some of Beau’s extended family live there. That means the VPR star has first-hand information about how Italy is handling the outbreak.
According to Beau, Italians are not allowed to leave “200 meters from their homes.” He also revealed that the army is involved in keeping people in their homes.
Many people in the U.S. are having a hard time staying home and social distancing. However, Beau says Italy is “crazy quarantined compared to us in the States.”
All of the guests and host Andy Cohen appeared on WWHL remotely via video cameras.
Andy announced last week that he tested positive for coronavirus but has since recovered. Beau and Stassi are quarantining together in their new home in Los Angeles.
Tell us in the comments if you think all will return to normal by October for Stassi to have her wedding in Italy? Are you adhering to the quarantine guidelines? Stay home (if you can) and stay safe.
Vanderpump Rules continues airing Season 8 Tuesdays on Bravo. Check back with TV Shows Ace for updates on Stassi and Lala’s weddings.
