Fireworks, drama and definitely a roller coaster ride can be used to describe the season finale of The Bachelor. Things were intense and even more so when After the Final Rose aired live. Hannah Ann got to confront Peter Weber after he broke her heart and led her astray. Bachelor Nation applauded her actions and her words. Now, Hannah Ann is speaking out in her post Bachelor interview. She is dishing more on her thoughts about everything that went down.

Hannah Ann speaks out in first post Bachelor interview

Not long after The Bachelor finale wrapped up Tuesday night, Hannah Ann spoke out on Bachelor Happy Hour podcast. She met with Becca Kufrin and Rachel Lindsay to discuss everything that went down. Us Weekly shared the scoop of that interview. Just to recap first, Peter and Hannah Ann got engaged in Australia. After about a month which would have been late December, Peter met with Hannah and told her he couldn’t give her his whole heart. They broke up and she returned his engagement ring.

Hannah Ann gained Bachelor Nation and Peter’s mom’s approval with her words to Peter Tuesday night. She said, “Even after our breakup, you reached out to my parents saying that you were just processing your emotions and that you wished more that anything we had met outside of reality TV. How does that make any sense? You signed up to be the Bachelor. You told me these things that I held onto. If you want to be with a woman, you need to become a real man.”

To begin the interview, Hannah Ann voiced that she also thinks Madison Prewett and Peter are very different. She said, “I think Peter and Madison love different lifestyles and hold different values. I don’t think this is exactly just an issue with the fantasy suites. I think it’s lifestyles and how you see life and how you judge everything in life.”

Discussing the final rose ceremony and regrets

Hannah Ann revealed that prior to the final rose ceremony she had no idea Madison had left. She said, “It was completely downplayed. [He] didn’t give me the courtesy or respect to have a sit-down conversation, [like,] ‘Hey this is what’s been going on this week. This is where my headspace is at. Let’s talk this through.’ [He] didn’t owe me that, just told me that very quickly and downplayed it and immediately went to “but my heart chooses you. You’re the love of my life. I want to spend forever with you.”

Looking back, Hannah Ann admits she should have followed her instincts and just left before the final rose ceremony. Everyone saw Chris Harrison tell Peter she was thinking about not coming. She now wishes she would have followed through. She said, “My instincts were telling me I wasn’t getting all the information I needed to make a decision with Peter. That’s intuition and that’s instincts and should I have stayed on that bed in Australia? Absolutely. But I wasn’t going to give up on someone I loved. … In the end, I think he took advantage of the fact that he conveniently left out very important information prior to me making a commitment with him.”

Peter has issues and Hannah Ann thinks there were red flags

Hannah Ann said Peter reached out to her parents after their breakup. However, when he said he had issues processing his emotions, he was very vague about everything. Hannah Ann said, “He speaks half-truths. While I’m watching this season I’m like, ‘Oh OK, that makes a lot more sense. Why we broke up makes a whole lot more sense because he couldn’t really own up to the fact of how he was truly feeling.'”

She also spoke up about Hannah Brown. Apparently, Peter told her he needed closure. At that point Hannah Ann had not seen the episode of the show where Peter and Hannah B. were getting cozy and emotional on the couch. She said, “I had no idea. … When he brought that up, I’m like, ‘Wait what?’ … Why should I feel comfortable with this? This is something where you don’t feel like you’re ready for any kind of commitment let alone engagement. That was the first red flag. I was questioning my own self.” When asked by Becca and Rachel if Peter got the closure, Hannah Ann said, “No. That was about a week before we broke up.”

Hannah Ann shared that they got engaged prior to Thanksgiving, spent New Year’s together and then broke up around the end of January. She also said when she was headed to Los Angeles she asked him to give her a head’s up if she was about to get dumped. He didn’t say a word.

Hannah Ann is looking to the future

She shared that watching the season play out on television actually helped her. She said,

“It’s helped me work through any unresolved feelings I had toward him because I’m able to see how he is consistently indecisive and confused. And who wants to be with that? That doesn’t make me feel secure in being with him. So it’s really helped me move forward because I know I deserve more than someone half loving me. I deserve someone that’s going to give me 100 percent, and I felt like me being so clear and not playing mind games with him, that he would give me that in return. But really, he was just reckless with my heart.”

Hannah Ann is going to be just fine. She took to Instagram to share a photo of herself in a leather flight jacket and said, “Flyin’ solo… no turbulence accepted. PERIOD.”
