Bachelor Nation Stands Up For Madison Prewett Amid Criticism
Things continue to get intense for Peter Weber on The Bachelor as he gets closer to the end of his journey. During fantasy suite week, fans saw Madison Prewett give Peter what most believe was an ultimatum about sleeping with the other two women. Peter did get intimate with Hannah Ann Sluss and/or Victoria Fuller. Now he is facing the consequences of his actions and Madison has been getting scrutinized by some for putting him in that position.
Bachelor alums stand up for Madison
First of all, Madison is definitely not the first virgin to appear on The Bachelor franchise. However, she is getting tons of backlash saying she shouldn’t have come on the show if she was uncomfortable with the lead getting intimate with others. After tons of criticism, other Bachelor alums are standing up for Madison and speaking out.
US Weekly shared that former Bachelor Colton Underwood was one to speak up. He made it well known he was a virgin going onto the show as the lead. He said, “The mistake is thinking this is only about Peter, it takes two to have a relationship… no one is wrong here. She knows what she signed up for and she also knows what she stands for. Good on you @madiprew.”
Becca Tilley also spoke up about Madison’s situation. She said producers encouraged her to wait to tell Chris Soules about being a virgin until fantasy suites. Becca went on to say she didn’t wait to try and be manipulative and she doesn’t believe Madison did either. She said, “I think it’s probably something that she’s very confident in and feels very strongly about and it had been made to be a bigger deal than it probably was before he started the show. Of course she’d be nervous having that conversation. I think it was kind of unfair for people to assume that she was being manipulative or the way she handled it because I thought she handled it well and was very classy.”

Other alums spoke out too
Garrett Powell also spoke out saying, “For the record… I respect Madison’s request and don’t get the comparison to Luke. Madison is not demanding anything, and is standing strong for what she believes in. Completely different scenario. Please stop that comparison. #TheBachelor.”
Nick Viall had thoughts too. He said, “Whether you agree with Maddi or not, she articulated her beliefs with grace while trapped in her nightmare. Maddi has character. Real People.. real feelings. #TheBachelor.”
And finally, Tia Booth also had something to say. She basically said everyone wants contestants to be real and when they are people get mad.
