90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days, Season 4 premiered this weekend. Big Ed, already getting trolls and body-shamers for his Klippel-Feil Syndrome, also grows his fan base really quickly on his Instagram. The scenes of Big Ed using mayo on his hair, will no doubt, become legendary memes and even merch. But, does it actually work?
90 Day Fiance – Small man, giant sense of humor, uses mayo on his hair
Okay, so as far as fans go, forget Season 7 of 90 Days, forget Darcey, even forget Angela Deem. Here comes Big Ed, a trollable character with a massive sense of humor. TV Shows Ace noted that maybe fans of the franchise should stop body-shaming him as he suffers from Klippel-Feil Syndrome. It’s a rare congenital condition, where bones in the neck fuse together. That’s why it looks like he’s got no neck.
We noted that on his social media, Ed shared throwback pics to his days as a young student and a young adult. Describing himself as the “class clown,” it’s obvious he learned to laugh at his problems early on in life. Big Ed certainly seems a bit eccentric as he rides his tiny Vesper around, but he’s fast becoming a fan-favorite for many people. A successful architect and photographer, Ed’s scenes of the mayo hair treatment drew a lot of responses from 90 Day Fiance fans.
Fans respond to the mayo hair treatment
There’s a clip up on YouTube of Ed and his mayo hair. In it, he said he’s “self-conscious” about his physical appearance. He uses mayo in his hair because it helps to keep it smooth and shiny. Fans cracked up at the scenes of him slapping the stuff on his hair so he smelled like an “egg mayo salad.” As one fan noted, “TLC: Providing the content you didn’t know you need 😂.”
Another follower wrote, “🤣🤣🤣 I really like this neckless dude. Chilling out in a kimono with red wine and some mayonnaise. You go big ed.” Then, one 90 Day Fiance fan said, “Hey this ain’t weird, people use a lot of natural things for hair like eggs, coconut oil, and milk.” Then someone wrote, “I think that is so adorable for a man to go out his way to look good for his woman! YOU GO MAN👍👍👍👍.” Actually, Ed’s growing quite a big fan base who like him a lot, neck or no neck.
Fans ask Ed if mayo works for real and really works
Over on his Instagram, Ed shared a cartoon drawing of the mayo on his hair done by a fan. One fan noted how his fanbase started growing quickly. They wrote, “Wow when I started following you you didn’t even have 2000k followers and over night boom almost tripled.” Others asked him if the mayo treatment really does work. He never replied, but apparently, it’s not a new idea.
According to Naturally Curly, “the most popular treatment of all time is the mayonnaise hair treatment.” And, they note that many “mothers and grandmothers” swear by it. They recommend it if you want your hair “softer, shinier,” and “smoother.” And yeah, like Big Ed of 90 Day Fiance, store-bought mayo works quite well. Of course, you could opt for a product on Amazon that looks less like something to slap on a sandwich.
So, will you try Big Ed’s mayo hair treatment? Or, just sit back and laugh alongside this little guy with a huge sense of humor? Sound off your thoughts in the comments below.
