Reveals her weight loss journey
In a new interview with Fox News, Savannah Chrisley talked about her new fitness routine. She said that she was inspired by country star Jason Aldean’s wife Brittany Aldean, who credited the South Beach Diet for her weight loss. Savannah wanted to give it a shot and see what happened. Even though she’s struggled, Savannah never felt better about herself than she does now.
“It’s about progress, not perfection,” the reality star said. “South Beach Diet has given me control. It’s taught me moderation, portion sizes and that a keto-friendly lifestyle works. I am so proud of how far I’ve come since this time last year and I feel better than ever.”
Savannah exclaimed that she has lost 20 pounds since going on the South Beach Diet. Then she gained 10 pounds back since she got toned from lifting weights. Savannah told Fox News that she struggled with low self-esteem and body confidence ever since she was 15 years old.
“For a long time, I compared myself to so many other people because I felt like I just didn’t measure up,” Savannah explained. “I wasn’t good enough. I kept hearing ‘you’re too big’ or ‘you’re too skinny.’ I have realized that if I am happy and love me, then no one else’s opinion matters.”
The Growing Up Chrisley star says the trick to gaining back her confidence was to fall in love with herself. She is finally at a point in her life where she’s comfortable with her weight fluctuating. But Savannah taught herself about the importance of eating right. Not only did it help with her body confidence, but it also helped with her mood. Savannah wanted to tried the South Beach Diet to not only be happy, but to also be at peace with her body.
