jinger duggar

Duggar fans will appreciate this post. Jinger shared this heartwarming message to her piano teacher, Nana, on Thursday, Feb. 20. The Counting On star took to Instagram to exclaim her appreciation for her former teacher. Nana pulled double duty. Not only did she teach, but she also did the family’s laundry twice a week for over 10 years.

Jinger’s mother, Michelle Duggar, wrote about Nana in her 2009 book. She revealed that it was her decision to help out their family by doing laundry for their 19 children. This woman has stayed on the family’s minds for years. Just because the Duggars have become famous doesn’t mean they’ve forgotten the ones who made an impact on their lives.

Jinger Duggar shares touching tribute to her piano teacher

The reality star took to Instagram to give her former teacher a friendly shout out. As OK! Magazine reported, Jinger posted a series of beautiful photos of herself with Nana. In the sweet message, she wished Nana a happy birthday. Jinger revealed that she still keeps in touch with the elderly woman to this day.

“Nana was my piano teacher for 15+ years, did my family’s laundry twice a week for 13+ years, and she still faithfully writes me a handwritten letter every single month,” she wrote.

The TLC star concluded her post by writing, “The world needs more women like this one!” She also said that she and her daughter, Felicity, FaceTimed Nana on her birthday.

In Michelle’s book, The Duggars: 20 and Counting!, she commended Nana with helping her with laundry. The book was released in 2009, before Josie became the 21st Duggar welcomed into the world. Michelle also explained why the family refers to her as “Nana.”

“For 12 years now, our piano teacher, whom we consider a part of our family and loving call ‘NaNa’ has faithfully come (now twice a week) to help us with laundry! GOD sent ‘An Angel’ in answer to my cry for help,” she wrote.

Jinger’s shoutout to Nana is enough to warm hearts. Of course, the Duggar family doesn’t go without their share of controversy. Especially when it comes to their social media use.

Duggar fans don’t like Jeremy’s influencer posts

The reality star has been attacked for his partnerships with brands. It’s no secret that Jinger and Jeremy make money from their respective Instagram accounts. But they’re still going to get backlash over their posts, no matter what. Jinger’s husband, Jeremy Vuolo, was criticized for endorsing a coffee brand on Instagram, reports OK! Magazine.

Fans accused him of “selling his soul” by being “self-serving and arrogant” in the post. At first, the Instagram post in question seemed innocent enough. It shows Jeremy at a coffee shop with his daughter and a friend. In the Instagram post is when he raved about the coffee he enjoyed. Jeremy concluded his post by remarking that he’s “wired” up.

Duggar fans were on the attack. Here are just some of the comments they wrote:

  • “[You’re] selling your soul to the world for $$,” one fan wrote.
  • “Stop promoting and be yourself please,” another added.
  • “Please stop presenting yourself as a celebrity of sorts. You are the husband of a fundie reality show participant,” a Duggar fan chimed in.
  • “You are striving to make a living as an ‘influencer.’ Your posts about coffee and food and clothes are self-serving and arrogant,” another comment read.

But there were many who came to Jeremy’s defense. They didn’t see anything wrong with the post. Some fans argued that you can be a Christian and an Instagram influencer. The couples have been criticized before for promoting their new lifestyle on Instagram.
