Last week on The Bachelor, fans saw things really heat up between Peter Weber and Victoria Fuller. An ex of Peter’s pulled him aside to tell him some not so flattering information about Victoria’s past. She allegedly broke up a few relationships and does not have a good reputation in Virginia Beach. Victoria says it’s all lies. Peter has been criticized by many for sending Kelsey home and keeping Victoria after all the drama. Now, host Chris Harrison is speaking out about Peter and Victoria’s crazy relationship.
Chris Harrison shares thoughts on Peter and Victoria’s relationship
Being The Bachelor can’t be easy, especially when it seems there is nothing but constant drama. Peter has been criticized for not putting his foot down more with these ladies. One in particular is Victoria. His relationship with her has been extremely rocky. They laugh, they fight, they makeup then the cycle repeats. Chris Harrison spoke to US Weekly about their wild relationship.
When asked about their relationship Chris said, “It’s one of those relationships, I see it often on the show, and you see it in life, where there’s passion, there’s chemistry, but it’s so volatile.” He continued, “And from the outside looking in, you think, ‘What do you do? What are you doing?’ It’s so clear.”
The host defends Peter’s decisions regarding Victoria
Chris said the drama everyone sees is usually something those going through it do not always see while actually in the moment. He went on to say,
“It’s what makes the show so relatable. When you’re in those relationships. It’s really a lot easier said than done to just walk away. If you’ve ever been in those relationships, the magnetic draw — and I’ve been in it! I’ve been in a relationship exactly like it as well, and I stayed and I went back and I stayed, went back and I made those same mistakes. So you have to, you have to give Peter a little bit of a wide berth. You know, this is the craziest thing. We’ve all — we all do stuff like this.”
Peter has taken a ton of hits from fans on his decisions this season. Chris said he loves how loyal and serious Bachelor fans are. He said he listens and he respects their opinions. Chris went on to say Peter luckily has thick skin and has taken a lot of the criticism in stride. He said Peter has a great support system. Chris concluded saying, “He has a great family, a lot of people that love him.”
