OutDaughtered dad Adam Busby picks up an extraordinary amount of critics on his Instagram. There, the dad of the quints and big sister Blayke often shares short video clips and photos. But he’s so often trolled or criticized for his parenting skills, it’s almost as though he has a small following just waiting to point out the error of his ways. After he pranked Ava with activated charcoal, he drew some criticism. But is it actually bad for kids? Why would you use activated charcoal in toothpaste?
OutDaughtered dad Adam pranks his daughter gets criticism
Taking to his Instagram on Wednesday, Adam shared a short clip that showed quint Ava cleaning her teeth. Pranking her, Adam used activated charcoal which turned her teeth black. The cute little girl seemed to find the prank very funny. Adam captioned his post with “Ava’s reaction to activated charcoal toothpaste this morning. 😂.”
Many OutDaughtered fans loved the way the cute little girl reacted. Others enjoyed the amusing moment. But one fan simply didn’t understand why he would use activated charcoal toothpaste. They asked, “Why charcoal toothpaste? What am i missing? Another follower criticized, saying, “@adambuzz that can remove enamel from teeth 😳.” Adam explained, “can, but not from one application. 👌🏼.” Another follower agreed with Adam, noting, “not if you use it correctly lol.”
What is activated charcoal toothpaste for, will it harm kids?
These days almost anything with activated charcoal’s become a trendy idea. From fixing gas and bloating through to teeth whitening, people love the product. When it comes to using it in toothpaste, Healthline mentions the pros and cons of it. They explain that the idea’s to remove stains on the teeth. Abrasive, it could cause damage to the enamel on older teeth with excessive use.
The website explains that the good side is that “it may prevent staining.” But on the downside, other products are just as effective and “it doesn’t remove stains below the enamel.” The site notes that occasionally using it is best. But, it doesn’t look like the OutDaughtered dad pranking the kids with it just this once could actually harm them.
Adam gets slammed so often by parenting-police
Adam Busby gets so much parenting criticism that it’s a wonder he persists in bothering to share his life on social media. But luckily for those who love seeing his antics and the charming little girls, the Outdaughtered dad lets much of that just roll off his back.
