What is activated charcoal toothpaste for, will it harm kids?

These days almost anything with activated charcoal’s become a trendy idea. From fixing gas and bloating through to teeth whitening, people love the product. When it comes to using it in toothpaste, Healthline mentions the pros and cons of it. They explain that the idea’s to remove stains on the teeth. Abrasive, it could cause damage to the enamel on older teeth with excessive use.

The website explains that the good side is that “it may prevent staining.” But on the downside, other products are just as effective and “it doesn’t remove stains below the enamel.” The site notes that occasionally using it is best. But, it doesn’t look like the OutDaughtered dad pranking the kids with it just this once could actually harm them.

Adam Busby gets so much parenting criticism that it’s a wonder he persists in bothering to share his life on social media. But luckily for those who love seeing his antics and the charming little girls, the Outdaughtered dad lets much of that just roll off his back.
