Kody Brown reveals why older kids aren’t on the new season of Sister Wives

The reality star appeared on Reality Life with Kate Casey podcast. He answered the question that has been on fans’ minds lately. Why don’t any of his older kids appear on Sister Wives? Well, that’s a very easy answer, according to Kody.

“My older children aren’t always interested in being part of the show,” Kody simply said. “And they don’t always have a story to follow. They’re trying to live professional lives. And sometimes it’s a hard balance to make.”

As In Touch Weekly reported, the host asked Kody where his son-in-law, Tony Padron, has been lately. He has been seen on this season at all. His marriage to Kody and Christine’s daughter Myketti Brown was a major storyline for a few seasons. His absence has been obvious.

Tony works at a bank. Kody said that his job is the reason why he’s not on the show as much.

“I mean, when you’re on a reality TV show, and you’re trying to work at a bank it becomes extremely awkward,” Kody explained. “They try to distance themselves so they can have their own private lives.”

Sister Wives fans also noticed that Logan has also been absent from the series. They noticed the absence of the older son when the family moved to Flagstaff, Arizona in Season 13. According to Logan’s Twitter account, he’s busy studying his M.B.A. Meanwhile, his fiancée, Michelle Petty, is working on her Criminal Justice M.A. The couple plans to get married, but it won’t be featured on Sister Wives.

Kody doesn’t think that any of his kids want to practice polygamy

He also admitted that none of his kids will practice polygamous like their parents do, as reported TV Shows Ace.

“I really just don’t expect any of my children to be in plural marriage,” he said on the podcast interview posted on Wednesday, Feb. 5. “But I don’t know. That’s up to them to decide.”

However, Kody said he felt “a definite calling to it.” He claims his wives were called to the polygamous lifestyle as well. Kody feels that he and his wives were in “a different place” than their kids were. It’s clear that their kids don’t have the same beliefs even if they were brought up in a polygamous family.

On the podcast, Kody made it clear that he tries to make all his wives feel safe and secure. He feels that their polygamous relationship “is very, very vulnerable.” But it looks like Kody and his wives are fine with their kids making their own decisions.
