Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson cannot appear on television. At least, not anytime soon. Rumors are swirling that the RHOC alums cannot appear on television for a year. TV Shows Ace was one of the first to report Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge’s respective exits from The Real Housewives of Orange County. This news was just as shocking as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announcing their split from the royal family.

But, does leaving reality TV come with a price? The reality stars can’t return to television for a year because of their non-compete contracts, according to new reports. Their options are limited, which is why they’re focusing on their new businesses. Tamra and Vicki are prevented from signing any deals with other networks for the next 12 months.

Former RHOC stars can’t appear on television for 1 year

As Radar Online reported, Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson can’t appear on television for a year due to their strict contracts.

“Vicki and Tamra have a one-year non-compete clause in their contracts,” the insider said.

The insider says that the reality stars “will have to get special permission to film any other television shows for the near year.” Both Tamra and Vicki decided not to return for RHOC Season 15. The Bravo series is reportedly in the middle of a massive cast shakeup. Vicki was the first to make the announcement on Instagram on Jan. 24. Tamra followed up with a much shorter message.

Tamra was asked to appear in only three episodes. She walked away after receiving a demotion and less money. Vicki was also demoted to “friend” of the housewives for the second time. In their Instagram posts, both ladies talked about their future business endeavors.

Vicki is launching her new podcast called Whoop it up with Vicki. Meanwhile, Tamra is renewing her real estate license and is focusing on her CBD business called Vena Wellness CBD, which she launched in January 2019.

Andy Cohen tease Tamra Judge’s return

Despite Radar Online’s report, the WWHL host says this is not the last we’ll see of Tamra. The executive producer of The Real Housewives franchise talked about Tamra’s shocking exit in an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight. That’s when he teased her possible return to television.

“She’s been such an incredible part of the show for 12 years, that my only thing that I’ll say about her is, you have not seen the last of Tamra on the Housewives of Orange County,” Andy admitted. “Tamra, we love you. We’re not totally done.”

Andy previously said he hopes Tamra will return to television soon on his SiriusXM show Andy Cohen Live.

“She has been an incredible Housewife, she really has,” Andy said. “She’s been dramatic, she’s vulnerable… she has been great.”

Andy said he will stay in touch with Tamra. He’s always interested in her life and what she intends on doing next. During his Instagram Live chat with Tamra about her RHOC exit, he admitted that “she always keeps it real.” But Tamra revealed that it was best for her not to share her personal life as she’s going through some personal issues. She explained to Andy that she needs some “privacy in my life right now.”
