‘Bachelor’ Alum Chad Johnson Talks Getting Sober
Bachelor alum Chad Johnson is changing his life for the better. Chad got a bad reputation as the villain during Bachelor in Paradise. Many still loved him and some were not impressed with his behavior. However, that’s all in the past. Get ready for the new, improved sober Chad.
Chad gets sober
The reality star went to Instagram to share his story, as well as, address his haters. Chad shared an attractive photo of himself looking somber and sober. He had a long caption to accompany the picture.
He started out saying he is 35 days sober. Chad goes on saying, “Now maybe my story isn’t typical but I’m not sure. It’s not like I drank everyday or had an issue every single time that I drank. But every problem I’ve ever had in my life was caused by drinking.” He continued on saying he would go a few weeks without drinking then get confident in thinking he could control his drinking. Chad would then get so confident he could handle it that he would drink more and more each time.
He admits many of his problems have been caused by drinking
In his long heartfelt post, Chad continued on saying, “Within a few times of drinking I’d end up having a 2-3 day bender that I convinced myself was okay, until I hated myself at the end of it. And when you don’t necessarily have to be anywhere or do anything because everything is on your own time, it was always easy to convince myself that continuing the party for a couple more days would be alright.”
He says he would feel horrible for about a week, reset, get back into working out and staying in shape for a week or two then he would repeat the process all over again.

Chad went on to say, “Not only was the issue with myself, but also other people and let me explain…. I’ve had people threaten to send videos to TMZ of me drunk, I’ve had people make up stuff that they say happened when I was drunk that I know didn’t happen, I’ve had people act and treat me in ways that they would never have done it I were sober.”
He went on saying that by not drinking anymore it removes all the problems he created for himself while drinking. Chad also addressed those who have wanted to destroy him and bring him down. He said, “but also this is a big f*ck you to everyone that wanted to screw me over when I drank.”
Chad is doing better than ever
Not only is Chad sober, he is in the best shape of his life. He looks great, feeling he now looks younger than he did 3 years ago. Chad concluded his post saying, “I’m healthy, happy, and to everyone that tried to pull one over on me back when I drank, F*CK YOU, I’m always in control now.”
Chad’s dad commented on his post telling his son how much he loves him. He replied to his dad telling him thanks and that he loves him too. While Chad has put on a bad boy attitude at times, he still has great qualities fans love. Fans love seeing him with his family and his dog Pumpkin.
