Don’t forget that The Bachelor is airing a new episode Wednesday! The ABC reality TV show is giving fans an extra serving of romance and arguing tonight, and we’ve got all you need to know about it.
Peter Weber had things end fairly badly in Costa Rica, so in this episode his traveling circus, er, the bachelorettes head to Chile. Their second South American stop includes several women participating in a telenovela taping. With all the fighting they do normally, the soap opera stuff should come easy to them.
But it’s not all their fault. Peter continues to be more confused than anything. Will this be the episode where he gets tougher with everybody and starts to assert himself more?
Maybe and maybe not. After all, remember that it’s only been just over a week since the bachelorettes decided to tell Peter off, too:
What to watch for
It feels like this The Bachelor episode has to be important. After all, why would ABC air a bonus episode this week if it wasn’t major? It could just be an attempt to get extra ratings. Or it could be because we’re going to see a real shock here somewhere.
This episode does include a two-in-one date which Reality Steve has already spoiled. Is that the big twist? It certainly won’t end well for anyone. Those dates never do.
And why is there always somebody who claims they’ve never been in love before appearing on The Bachelor or The Bachelorette? That just feels like a bit of an overstatement.

Peter will need to concentrate on his developing relationships in Santiago, the vibrant capital of Chile. His first date raises serious concerns when she reveals she has never been in love before. Can she convince Peter that she is ready to settle down and get married? Another woman is getting a second one-on-one date causing a furor with one devastated bachelorette who hasn’t even had one yet.
Will life imitate art when Peter and a group of the women star in their own telenovela, a Latin American drama entitled “El Amor de Pedro?” Once again, tempers rise and Peter overhears the bachelorettes yelling at one another. After hearing both sides of the story, he is left to wonder who to believe. One worried lady attempts to get her relationship with the Bachelor back on track at the after-party, but will her strategy backfire?
Peter gets a real surprise on his next date when – after a wonderful, promising day together learning how to train horses from a real Chilean huaso and enjoying a rodeo – he is blindsided by the woman’s personal fears about the possibility of a future together and is worried she won’t be there for him in the end.
Two feuding females square off one last time as the recipients of a dreaded impromptu two-on-one date card. Who will stay and who will go?
