‘Unexpected’: McKayla Adkins Is Leaving Social Media
Unexpected star McKayla Adkins has been through her fair share of ups and downs. She often shares about her life on social media. She doesn’t hold back either. The teen mom of two posts very personal things on social media and on her own YouTube channel. Because of this, viewers of the show are often aware of all of her drama.
Because she’s so open about her life, her followers have a lot to say. In most cases, she turns off the comments on her Instagram posts and YouTube videos. She doesn’t typically allow her followers to message her on social media either. This is likely to cut back on the hate she gets.
On Instagram on Friday morning, McKayla revealed that she would be leaving social media. She wrote about it on her Instagram stories.
She said, “Hey guys, I just wanted to let you in a few days I will be deleting all social media and quitting YouTube. Once I complete all of my collabs I already signed contracts for my accounts will be permanently deleted. Thank you for all the support and love over the years but I’m ready to quit now.”

As she mentioned, McKayla sometimes does collaborations with different companies. She gets free products, money, or both for doing these sponsored posts.
Because she’s trying to wrap those collaborations up, there will likely be a handful of sponsored posts on her page soon.

The Unexpected star also makes money from making YouTube videos. As far as viewers know, her income comes from YouTube and Instagram. Because she is so open, fans assume they would know if she had any other jobs.
Because she’s leaving social media, she will likely be finding another way to make money. Some fans think that her grandparents will continue to pay for everything. Recently, she and Caelan set up a GoFundMe so they could buy a van. Their financial situation doesn’t seem to be great right now. Leaving social media, which is how she gets paid, doesn’t seem like a good idea.
Are McKayla and Caelan still together?
Fans of the show know that McKayla and Caelan’s relationship has been rocky. They’ve broken up and gotten back together countless times. So, it doesn’t come as a huge shock that they’re not together right now. TV Shows Ace recently reported that the two split again.
This time, Caelan says that McKayla left him. Though this breakup seems bad, Unexpected fans aren’t sure what will come of it. They could get back together again, possibly for the sake of their kids.
It’s possible that McKayla leaving social media has something to do with the breakup. Maybe she received a lot of backlash for it via social media. Or maybe she just wants to start fresh.
