Sister Wives star Mariah Brown seems to have had a long and rocky road with her mental health. In March last year, not long after her engagement to Audrey Kriss, she seemed very down. Back then, she said she was going back for more therapy. Now, it seems she still struggles and looks for a therapist to help her.
Sister Wives star Mariah Brown’s open about her mental health on social media
TV Shows Ace reported that in March last year, Mariah took to her Instagram to talk about her mental health. While she often shares about mental health, it seemed she wasn’t in a good place. Back then, she wrote on Instagram that she planned on seeing a therapist. But, she admitted, “it’s been quite a few months since” she “last visited [one].” Mariah also noted that speaking to others about mental health is “scary.”
Well, maybe she stopped going to that therapist. In a new Instagram post, she said she’s “in search of a therapist,” InTouch Weekly noted. In her post, Mariah shared a lovely photo of her dog Koda. Like her mom Meri Brown, it seems she loves dogs. The Sister Wives‘ daughter often shares pictures of her furry friends. Then, Mariah explained the picture’s a “sweet reminder to be easy on myself.” But she later elaborated on how she struggles with her mental health.
Struggling with mental health, Mariah gets candid
The longer caption that followed the intro said in part, “lately, my mental health hasn’t been so great. but i am in search of a therapist, and constantly reminding myself to slow down.” Then she spoke about how physical and mental health actually shouldn’t be seen as separate. “The truth is, they are all one in the same,” she noted. Mariah then spoke about being a “whole human.” So, she feels that looking after her mental health as well as her physical health is important.
Mariah ended on a positive note, reinforcing that she knows her challenges. Referring to her dog, the Sister Wives star said, “i hope koda can be a little reminder for all of us that sometimes running around, getting lots of snuggles, and chilling out are all we need.” But she also said that some times we “need a little bit more than that, too.”
Taking a positive stance on it she noted, “it’s a beautiful thing to be able [to] give that to ourselves.”
Fans encourage Mariah
Quickly, fans responded to Mariah. One said, “Mariah find your peace within you. In the end, the only person you will live with that matters is you. Find you and follow your heart.”
Then another person wrote, “Good girl… take time for you sweetie, we all need to take a step back now and again to strengthen our mind, body and soul!!”

my sweet reminder to be easy on myself. — — lately, my mental health hasn’t been so great. but i am in search of a therapist, and constantly reminding myself to slow down, and seeking community with my people. i think sometimes mental & physical health feel really separated, but the truth is, they are all one in the same. i am a whole human being meant to be treated as such. and so are you. what a privilege it is to care for my whole being. anyway— i hope koda can be a little reminder for all of us that sometimes running around, getting lots of snuggles, and chilling out are all we need. and maybe sometimes, we need a little bit more than that, too, and it’s a beautiful thing to be able give that to ourselves.
