Duggar: Derick Dillard Says ‘I Support Science 100 Percent’
Sometimes, religious people deny science. They might choose to believe in a higher power rather than believing in science. This varies by person and religion, but some fans were shocked to find out that a member of the Duggar family openly supports science. His comment was made in relation to religion.

In a recent Twitter exchange, Derick Dillard, Jill’s husband, revealed that he supports science. In a tweet on New Year’s Day, Derick said, “Happy New Year! May we follow the Lord Jesus more closely in 2020 than ever before!”
In response, one of his followers said, “I’d perhaps look closer to science, but that’s me.” To that, Derick said, “I support science 100 percent.”
Then, the follower wrote back, “You can’t just support the bits you like.” At the moment, Derick has yet to respond.
Now, this whole exchange doesn’t mean that Derick isn’t religious. He and his wife are openly religious on social media. Some fans of the family are just surprised to see that he would admit that he support science due to his religious beliefs.
Some fans possibly interpreted his tweet as him choosing science over religion. It seems that he actually supports both science and religion. He might even think that the two have nothing to do with each other.
Derick is opening up about the Duggar family
Lately, Derick has been under fire for all kinds of things. As many Counting On fans know, Jill and Derick, along with their two sons, Israel and Samuel, are no longer a part of the show. The exact reason for this is unclear. For a while, it seemed that it was because of Derick’s transphobic comments toward fellow TLC star Jazz Jennings.
Derick has said that they chose to leave the show themselves. Of course, there’s a chance there was some pressure from TLC or his wife’s family to do so.
Now, Derick has revealed that Jim Bob Duggar was keeping the money from the show. He is also sharing about the rocky relationship Jill has with Jim Bob. Derick has even said that he will be writing a book about the Duggar family.
It’s not clear what exactly is going to happen with the book. Duggar fans have noticed that things have seemed rough between Jill and her family for a while though. Some fans are eager to see everything come to light.
