Dancing with the Stars professional dancer Alan Bersten is addressing those Hannah Brown dating rumors once again. As previously reported via TV Shows Ace, this isn’t the first time that the two have been in the center of dating rumors. Throughout season 28 of DWTS, the two have become quite close. Their dance partnership has since transformed into a close friendship. But is there a possibility that Bersten and Brown could become more than friends? While the professional dancer claims they’re just good friends, it’s hard to deny their special bond.

Is there something more between the two?

It’s obvious that Brown and Bersten have chemistry. You can see it in their performances and how they interact with each other. Even the dancing pro remarked how much their relationship has changed for the better. It’s no longer a professional relationship. They have become close friends.

In an interview with People, Bersten opened about their special friendship. During the season 28 DWTS finale on Nov. 25, the pair were named the Mirrorball Trophy winners. But that wasn’t the only thing that they gained out of it. Brown revealed to Bersten that being with him gave her the opportunity “to trust somebody again.” The champion remarked that Brown is someone he can’t see himself without. He’s become quite comfortable with having her around.

“Hannah and I, it was a different partnership than I’ve ever experienced before after rehearsals almost every day we would go and eat and just hang out and that’s very rare when you spend six hours with someone that you to still see them afterwards,” said Bersten. “So I’m really lucky that me and Hannah became such good friends.”

So does that mean a romance is blossoming from their friendship?

Bersten laughed and said, “I don’t think so. I think it’s just friends.”

Alan Bersten reflects on his ‘amazing relationship’ with the former Bachelorette

Throughout the three-month competition, viewers watched as Brown consistently improved each week. Even though she won first place, she didn’t receive the Mirrorball Trophy without her share of criticism from judges Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba and Len Goodman. Bersten agrees that the judges were way too tough on her, but he understood why they were that way.

“I feel like Hannah did such a good job and she didn’t get her perfect score until the freestyle, where I feel like she really did some amazing numbers and really gave her heart out there,” he said. “But I can see why the judges were a little more critical of her. I feel like they wanted to really push Hannah because they saw the potential that I don’t think she saw in herself yet.”

Bersten revealed that their relationship was built on trust, which allowed them to handle the criticism that came their way.

“Hannah and I built such a good relationship throughout the season that we could really trust each other and when we had to work on a note or a critique that the judges gave us, we just went through it and we realized that the more we put in during rehearsals, the better it’s going to feel on Monday,”he said. “And after every show Monday, we looked back at the dances and we would feel good if we knew that we gave it our best.”

Bersten said he was satisfied with their dances. He knew that they gave it their all, even if the judges didn’t feel the same way. Their fans could see their hard work. Their dedicated fanbase is how they ended up in the finale.
