Hallmark’s ‘Christmas At Graceland: Home For The Holidays’ Is Not A Sequel

News, Scripted

In this year’s Hallmark Countdown to Christmas, there are a couple of sequels, but you cannot include Christmas at Graceland: Home for the Holidays as that. Although this is the third Hallmark Christmas movie in Graceland, this delightful romance has different leads. The latest movies is starring Adrian Grenier (Entourage), Kaitlin Doubleday (Nashville), Priscilla Presley and singer Chase Bryant. What can we expect in this third sequel, besides taking place at Elvis Presley’s beloved Graceland, and some wonderful music?

What Is Christmas at Graceland: Home for the Holidays About?

Happy-go-lucky Harper Ellis (Doubleday) finally returns home to Memphis after traveling around the world. It is Christmastime and she is back home, at least for now. She is waiting to hear about a job overseas, so in the meanwhile, takes work as a nanny for a wealthy widower, Owen Reed (Grenier), who is very rigid about everything surrounding his children. Unfortunately, he never spends time with them. But, Harper’s optimistic outlook in life wears on Owen. Soon, he is spending more time with his adorable kids. Sound a bit like another family favorite romantic movie, The Sound of Music!

While Harper helps Owen with his kids, Owen, in turn, helps Harper become more confident in her unique talents. Soon, Harper and Owen are thrown together to curate an “Elvis at Christmas” exhibit and Christmas fundraiser. This takes place at Graceland. This means quality time at Elvis’ beloved home and a little romance to boot. And, maybe a visit and some sage words from Priscilla Presley? Now the question is whether Harper is ready to put down roots? There is music, there is romance and there is a lot of fun!

According to Commercial Appeal, this Hallmark Christmas movie was filmed at Graceland and around the Memphis area. Although there is snow, it was filmed in July. But no one is revealing Hallmark’s tricks to getting it to snow for their beloved Christmas films!
