‘RHOA’ Co-Stars Shade NeNe Leakes for Missing BravoCon; Why Was Porsha Williams in a Wheelchair?
Not many Bravolebrities missed this weekend’s fan convention in New York City. RHONY’s Sonja Morgan and The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s NeNe Leakes were the most notable absences. Even Kim Zolciak-Bermann showed up. While Sonja announced a month ago that she would not attend, fans were surprised NeNe wasn’t there.
Her RHOA co-stars, on the other hand, weren’t surprised. Kenya Moore threw shade at her rival by reminding NeNe that none of them would be television stars without the fans. Porsha Williams attended BravoCon in a wheelchair. Find out below what happened to the new mom.
RHOA Stars Shade Absent Cast Member
It’s no secret that NeNe is a big personality who often feuds with her RHOA co-stars. In fact, her friendship with long-time pal, Cynthia Bailey, imploded due to NeNe’s feud with Kenya. As fans remember, Cynthia pretended not to know that Kenya would be attending an event that Cynthia knew NeNe would be there.
Unfortunately for Cynthia, she was heard on a live mic whispering to someone to act surprised by Kenya’s appearance. Cynthia and NeNe’s friendship is still tense, but there’s little hope for things to thaw out between Kenya and NeNe. Especially after the shade Kenya threw at BravoCon.
Before joking about fast-forwarding through NeNe’s parts on the show, Kenya made sure fans know who was there at the convention for them.
“This platform is for the fans. We’re here because we want to be here for the fans.”
Porsha Williams Says Group Dynamic ‘Changes’ Without NeNe
Porsha Williams has had her share of arguments and disagreements with NeNe. However, when asked if the dynamic within the cast changes without Nene, her response was neutral.
“In this group, I think when one of us is missing, the dynamic changes. This group is a group of very strong-minded women, women who are very vocal, very opinionated. It will always be something happening with us and when one of us is missing or when one of rejoins the group, it’s obviously going to be another spark. Each person in the cast plays their part. When NeNe comes, you’ll see another dynamic in the group.”
Porsha doesn’t say if the dynamic change is good or bad once NeNe enters events and gatherings.
NeNe’s representative blames a work commitment for the reality star’s absence.
“She had to travel to Los Angeles for a pre-existing work commitment she was not able to get out of. Simple as that!”
RHOA Star Under Fire for Behavior
The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Season 12 started airing just a few weeks ago. However, NeNe was not in the show’s first two episodes due to contract issues. She reveals to People that she was considering leaving the show at the time.
“There were a lot of rumors around the time and I was really skeptical about what I was going to do. I really didn’t know what I was going to do, I really didn’t. I had one foot in and one foot out.”
The contract negotiations were settled eventually and NeNe appeared in the recently-aired third episode. However, she had a physical altercation with a cameraman during the show’s prior season. When the cameraman attempted to walk into NeNe’s closet, she grabbed his shirt and ripped it.

Porsha Attends BravoCon in a Wheelchair
Porsha is having her share of troubles with her cheating husband. To make matters worse, the glam star attended BravoCon with a protective boot on her foot. When Porsha was asked why she was in a wheelchair, she revealed a recent foot surgery.
“I had extensive foot surgery and I’m still in the non weightbearing stage and will be for awhile. Thank you for the well wishes.”
