Having been in the public eye for a long time, Amy Duggar is used to the public giving their opinion negative and positive. The Counting On star recently shared a cute doormat to Instagram that says, “shhh… Daxton’s sleeping.” It’s a cute doormat and is a sweet thing to have with her son’s name on it.” People posted their thoughts on the picture according to In Touch.
Fans were upset she had a doormat with her son’s name on it. One fan said, “it’s not cool to have a doormat that has your baby’s name on it. There are some creepy people out there.” Another Instagram user posted, “If you live in a neighborhood or apartment, this is just announcing to potential creepers that you have a baby, and they know its name.” She went on to say it’s sad they have to even think that way but the world is a bad place. Another user questioned the doormat at all saying she should get her son used to the noise.
Amy Duggar Is Used To The Mommy Shaming
The seemingly simple post of the doormat drew in a lot of crazy hateful comments. One fan was on her side saying, “I honestly can’t believe the rude people commenting telling you what to do. In one ear, out the other!” Amy hadn’t responded to all the criticism, but she did respond to this fan’s supportive comment.
She said, “it’s something I’m used to. It’s just part of being in the public eye. I try to be respectful and kind, but at the same time, I will be true to myself!” She’s basically saying fans and users can comment, she’s still going to do what she wants when it comes to raising her son and decorating her house.
She Keeps It Real And Shares It With Her Fans
Amy Duggar shared a picture of her passed out in a recliner while feeding her baby. It’s not glammed up, it’s real. She captioned it, “pretty poses, makeup and photo shoots are great, but it’s not real. Life isn’t perfect, and I don’t want the people who follow me to think that! So, this is the real me in real-time living my best life! Hot tea in hand, ice water leaned up against me, half dressed and completely worn out!”
