‘Vanderpump Rules’ Star Tom Sandoval Appears at BravoCon in Drag; Plus Why Jax Felt Betrayed
Bravo celebrities converged on New York City this weekend for the inaugural BravoCon. Many Vanderpump Rules stars are at the fan convention, including newlyweds Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright. Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval are also in NYC. Or should that be “Jen Rod?”
Always one for a show, E Online reports that Sandoval showed up in full drag as his drag queen alter ego. The character is named after Lisa Vanderpump’s husband Ken Todd. Check out his epic transformation down below.
The Return of Jen Rod
Longtime Vanderpump Rules fans are familiar with Sandoval’s love of making an entrance. The drag persona first made an appearance at Tom Schwartz’s bachelor party. In a platinum blonde wig and false eyelashes, Sandoval rocked a corset top, fishnets and heels.
The SUR bartender’s girlfriend gave the look her seal of approval. In fact, Ariana shared a photo of the duo on her Instagram about how much she was enjoying BravoCon. Jen Rod also looked to be having a blast.

Vanderpump Rules’ Jax Reveals Why He Felt Betrayed By His BFF
Sandoval and Jax have been best buds since years before Vanderpump Rules flickered across our televisions. They met over 10 years ago when they were both models trying to make it big in Miami.
However, things have been tense between the former BFFs for a while. It can be traced back to the Season 7 reunion when Sandoval defended co-star James Kennedy against Jax’s verbal attacks. In fact, after the reunion, Jax revealed that Sandoval was no longer best man at his upcoming wedding.
Jax recently blocked most of his Vanderpump Rules co-stars on social media. Ariana hilariously roasted him by wearing a “Block By Jax On Twitter” t-shirt at BravoCon. Jax responded by saying he would be releasing the design… on Kristen Doute’s clothing line.

The friends mended fences long enough for Sandoval to fulfill his role as best man. Tensions remained high as the cast filmed Season 8 of Vanderpump Rules. The recently released trailer shows the two having a blowout disagreement over something.
Now Reality Blurb reveals what caused the fighting between the former close friends.
“Jax feels that Sandoval betrayed him over relationships with other cast members,” the source said. “At the core though, Jax will always love Sandoval, which is why he is trying to mend fences with him.”
Bravo host recreates Vanderpump Rules Opening Sequence
As fans know, the Vanderpump Rules opening intro is full of dramatic slow-mo shots of SUR staffers twirling around while holding trays of drinks. Celebrities such as Jennifer Lawrence and Seth Rogan have hilariously recreated it.
At BravoCon, the mastermind of Bravo’s reality TV programming, Andy Cohen took his turn recreating the opening sequence. Flanked by the two Toms – Sandoval and Schwartz, Andy moodily twirls toward the camera while holding a tray of cocktails. In slow motion, of course.
