Chrissy Teigen Reminds Fans She Wasn’t Always Wealthy – Lived On Food From The Trash

News, Reality TV

Chrissy Teigen might be quite wealthy. But she didn’t start out her life married to a famous musician, nor did she just wake up one day as a famous television star with millions of followers on social media. Once upon a time, she was just another young worker with a crappy job and little food to live on. It’s kind of nice that she reminds her fans from time to time that it’s okay to not be rich and famous.

Chrissy Teigen once lived off food from the trash

On Twitter, Chrissy responded to a post by @ssshellyyyy. She asked people to comment on “the most unprofessional thing you’ve done at work.” Chrissy wrote, “when they made me fill the register with my own money because it was off at the end of the night. also, eating from the trash.” Later, she elaborated on it, noting that this happened between two different jobs. Plus, she added, “there used to be a place called Tocano or something. They made house…potato chips with a chipotle bbq sauce. This was my lunch every day for a year. someone threw it out and I pulled the pins and tags out and ate it 5 hours later.”

Well, fans relate to that. One person commented, “I remember that illegal bs from my waitressing days.” Another noted, “My son was fired for eating a slice of pizza that was going to be thrown away.” One said, “Waiters do eat ‘mistakes’ and ‘send backs’ – it’s true, some places make them reimburse the till.” It sounds like other waitresses and food business employees also got so hungry they took the leftovers meant for the trash as well. In a way, Chrissy’s confession makes all her fans feel that she’s just so real. TV Shows Ace noted that just like other people, she sometimes follows TV shows and buy cameos.
