News, Reality TV, TLC Shows, Unexpected

Unexpected fans know that Max Schenzel racked up trouble with the law, and that he has addictions. In fact, many of them were critical of Chloe Mendoza for not taking his needs for therapy seriously. But, it looks like Max is making a supreme effort to turn his life around. This weekend, he shared on Instagram that he’s on his way back from an AA Retreat. He’s 33 days into a new lifestyle.

Unexpected fans feared for Max Schenzel and his addictions, but he’s turning his life around

TV Shows Ace reported that Starcasm dug around and found out Max had more than one run-in with the law. We reported, “Starcasm writers have spent a lot of time trying to make heads or tails of Max’s various arrests. Plus, the sentences are rather head-scratching. In fact, they dug out the info on the latest arrest that came to light. It came about in July, the outlet noted. The newly revealed offense was driving with a suspended license. But, his addiction issues seemed quite serious, so fans hope he would address them seriously.

We later reported that the Unexpected baby daddy might not make it to his own prom, as he might be in rehab. We noted that “Chloe was more upset about not going to prom than him going to rehab. She did end up going without him, though.” But now, some months on, it looks like Max is really focusing on getting control of his addiction. On Sunday morning, he shared that he’s 33 days into turning his life around and just returned from an AA retreat.

33 days into turning his life around, Max returns from an AA retreat

Taking to his Instagram, Max shared the good news about how he went to an AA retreat. The Unexpected star put out a heartfelt message about where he’s at right now. The long post said, “On my way home right now from [an] AA retreat. Today It’s been 33 days since I changed my everyday life routine. I forgot how great life was because I let life’s problems defeat me and deceive me into thinking that what I was doing was justified.”

Looking very clean, sober, and upbeat, Max elaborated further. He added, “I watched myself make mistakes that lead to bigger mistakes as I slowly caused damage in every relationship I had.” But, he’s counting his blessings now. The young star wrote, “I got my daughter in my life, my lady, my father, my experienced sponsor, and the guy in my picture is one of my real few friends that I have left.”

Still  a long road to travel, but Max is on his way

Max still has a long way to go on his new journey he admitted. His post continued with him saying, “I got a long way to go still but I am genuinely happy with life and I feel confident when I wake up and excited when I go to sleep. Life is a process and God puts signs in it that you have to pay attention to.” Then, he went on to explain how everyone has some issues in life. The Unexpected dad encouraged others, noting, “Trust the process and everything else will follow. Everyone has issues in life, and everyone’s capable of overcoming them. God bless everybody and have a great Sunday!”
