The way they met was very modern and via Twitter, but the way Wells Adams says he knew Sarah was the one is the sweetest thing ever.

In an interview with Elite Daily, Wells said he knew really early on she was the one he wanted to marry. They talked on Twitter for a while before they met in person. When he came to see her, their first date was the evening before an exclusive Emmy party that takes place the night before.
They were supposed to meet up for a drink after, but she said that would be too late, just come to the party. Wells Adams showed up and was scared because every famous person on TV was there. Sarah Hyland first saw him on the Bachelorette and really was rooting for him to win. At that time, she was dating someone else.

When he went onto Bachelor in Paradise, she was thrilled to see him on the show. She tweeted, “OH MY GOD @WellsAdams IS THE FRIKKIN BARTENDER?! Best. Season. Ever.” He tweeted back, “Taking applications for #BIP5 bar backs now. Please send references. Preferably from Phil Dunphy. I’m kidding the job is yours @Sarah_Hyland.” This particular Twitter flirt fest took place after Sarah Hyland had broken up with Dominic Sherwood.
The DMs started and the rest is history. That night Hyland offered to drive him back to where he was staying because they hit it off. Wells Adams was riding in the back of Sarah’s car making out with her and he told her driver to take it around one more time. He said they didn’t go around the town again but he joked that he knew she was for him when he said that.

Wells Adams also said Sarah told him she knew from that first date as well. Hyland was dancing and having a great time but she was holding her purse. He told her to give it to him so she could dance. Sarah said she’d dated a lot of guys who wouldn’t have wanted to hold her purse. That was it for her.
