Todd Chrisley Slams The Press For Creating A ‘Train Wreck’ For His Family
Chrisley Knows Best star Todd Chrisley isn’t happy with the press coverage of his family. As those who follow the TV personality on social media know, he’s never been afraid to sound off his opinion.
On Sunday, Chrisley shared a meme with his followers on Instagram. The meme read, “The road I’ve traveled hasn’t been easy, but I’m still here. The only reason I’m here today is because God was walking the road with me, every step of the way.”
Taking to the caption of the meme, Chrisley echoed the sentiments of the meme with a very detailed post.
“Life isn’t easy , it’s messy , difficult , joyous , heartbreaking , thrilling , sad, hopeful , forgiving (never forget ) and at times exhausting.” Chrisley penned.
Todd Chrisley recognizes his family is no different than any other family.
Chrisley clarified it was important for his fans to understand that his family was no different than any other family. All families face the same “heartbreak” and “family strife.”
What makes his family different is simply the fact that his family is on TV. All the good and bad his family endures is for public viewing.
“You just get to watch ours play out on TV and the internet,” he explained.
The Chrisley Knows Best star isn’t pleased with how the media portrays his family.
“You get to watch the train wreck that the press creates with twisted versions of the truth,” Todd Chrisley exclaimed.
The TV personality wanted to make sure his fans knew they couldn’t believe everything they see and read on the internet.
Some media outlets, including The Blast, believe the Instagram post was in reference to the tax scandal currently surrounding the family. More specifically, they believe Chrisley was referring to the scandal when he said “twisted versions of the truth.”
Despite his words, the Chrisley family remain in legal hot water.
As The Blast goes on to remind us, he and his wife are currently facing charges for 11 different crimes by federal prosecutors. While some media outlets may not have the whole story and some may be posting slants or exaggerations of the truth, the Chrisley family is currently in legal hot water when it comes to tax evasion and bank fraud.

As TV Shows Ace previously reported, the couple could face jail time if they are convicted of the crimes they have been accused of. It, however, may also take a great deal of time for the case to close as it is both complicated and high profile.
