‘Counting On’: Joy-Anna Duggar Wears Necklace For Daughter
If you have been following the Duggar family, you might know about Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth’s tragic loss. The Counting On stars lost their second child at 20 weeks gestation. They made the news public on social media in July. This was just one week after they heard the news themselves.
In their post on their shared Instagram account, they wrote,
“Today marks one week since we heard these words…’So this is your baby’s heart (pointing to the ultrasound screen). I don’t hear a heartbeat or see any movement.’ We had gone in for our 20-week ultrasound and gender reveal. It was a baby girl. Although we don’t understand why, God has given us unexplainable peace and comfort during this very difficult time. Yes, it still hurts and we have cried countless tears, but we know that we can trust the Lord. In the words of King David after the loss of his baby, ‘I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me’ (2 Sam 12:23). We don’t grieve as those who have no hope because we trust that we will see this little one again.”

Throughout the grieving process, they have shared pictures and updates. Though this has been a sad time for the Counting On couple, they have been surrounded by friends and family. They are grateful for their son Gideon and appreciate him even more now.
Counting On star Joy-Anna Duggar wears necklace for daughter
When Austin and Joy shared the post about the loss of their daughter, they revealed her name. They wrote, “We named her Annabell Elise. Annabell means ‘God has favored me’, and Elise means ‘God satisfies’. What a precious thing to know that when our daughter opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was the face of Jesus.”
On Tuesday, Counting On fans saw Annabell Elise’s name show up again on Joy and Austin’s Instagram page. In a new photo, Joy is wearing a thin gold bar necklace with her daughter’s name engraved on it. In the caption, Joy writes, ” Thank you @meagalina for this thoughtful gift! It means so much to have such caring family around me! I love you!” This is a special gift from Joy’s sister-in-law, Austin’s sister, Meagan. Joy adds a hashtag that says, “My sister-in-law is like my sister.”
In the comments section, fans of TLC’s Counting On are offering their support to Joy and Austin once again. Joy’s sister Jill Dillard and her sister-in-law Anna Duggar also shared sweet comments. Jill wrote, “Aww! Love that! So sweet!” Then, Anna said, “Such a precious gift. Looking forward to meeting Annabell in Heaven one day!”
