Adam & Danielle Busby Spill Secrets On Medicating Five Young Quints

OutDaughtered Danielle Busby

OutDaughtered fans can only imagine what it’s like to try and remember all the medications and times to give five little girls all sick at the same time. Well, make that six kids with Blayke Louise in the Busby family as well. In fact, some fans noticed that Danielle looked really exhausted recently. Maybe sick kids meant disturbed sleep. Relieved fans loved the idea that Danielle and Adam Busby shared a life hack on their Instagram on Monday.

OutDaughtered life hack that the Busby’s use for their kids’ medication

On their joint @itsabuzzworld account on Instagram, Danielle and Adam shared about remembering dates and times for various medical doses. They showed a photo of a bottle of medicine and some writing on it. In the caption, the post read, “Mom Hack Monday* When you have 6 kids, I’ll be honest…l just can’t remember everything! 🤪 After last week of rotating sick kiddos, I saw this #momhack and had to share because its genius!! *this actually reminds me of the beginning days of when the quints first came home and they were all on meds for acid reflux 🤪.”

So, fans of the OutDaughtered show figured out that in this instance the kid involved needed to take some medication twice a day for ten days. Using a marker pen on the bottle, AM and PM boxes married up to a day written on the left of the bottle. It looks like each time a child gets a dose, they use the pen to make an X in the respective box. That way, they know at a glance that the child’s taken the next dose on time. As some fans mentioned, this is not a bad idea for adults either. Many of them seem to forget when they took the last dose, and when the next one’s due.

Fans ask about acid reflux, Adam and Danielle reply, as do other fans

Some fans asked about the best thing to do for acid reflux. One OutDaughtered fan seemed a bit distraught over their own baby. They asked, “Do you have any advice on babies with reflux? My poor 3 week old is just miserable but the doc won’t give us meds yet.” The Busbys replied saying, “elevated feedings. And if you are using formula could be the issue too…but we found out hazel had a milk allergy, even with breastmilk, and it was a game changer.”

Other fans agreed that elevated feeding really does help. One noted, “Elevate! I cannot stress this enough, elevate while feeding and while sleeping. There are pads that are made to put under a crib mattress that slightly elevate where the baby rests its head, having the head a bit higher so everything can move down easily helps a lot!” Others also chipped in their thoughts and these ranged from preferring chiropractic treatments, through to suggestions like Camomile tea.
