Kyle Chrisley of Chrisley Knows Best is now speaking out. He was recently in the hospital and had his family by his side. At the time, they said it was based on a reaction to a medication. That wasn’t the case at all, though. E! Online shared that Kyle is admitting that he was there for a suicide attempt.
Kyle Chrisley reveals what really happened
Kyle actually did the podcast Chrisley Confessions this week with his dad Todd. That is when he opened up about it all. Kyle said, “I take medication and I had a bad side effect to it and I tried to take my own life. With the meds, I got all kinds of crazy thinking going on.”
Todd went on to explain saying, “I think some of the medications they put you on—that you had not been on—one of the side effects is suicidal tendencies and we’re now off of that.”
How is Kyle now?
Kyle Chrisley is supposed to make a full recovery. Kyle is back to work and doing well. The family seems like they are getting closer to Kyle again, which is a good thing. He is Chloe’s father, who Todd and Julie are raising.
Todd and Kyle have been through a lot over the years. It sounds like they are working through it now. Todd was very open about how he missed his son when they weren’t speaking. Here is what he had to say.
“Folks, I hired a private investigator to watch him every week, send me photographs of him in his uniform looking so handsome just to make sure my son was okay. For all of you folks and tabloid writers that wanted to write I turned my back on my child, I don’t owe you an explanation. I prayed every day for his recovery, for his wellness, for his mental health and for God to bring him back when he was ready.”
Don’t miss new episodes of Chrisley Knows Best when it airs on USA Network. At this time, nobody knows if Kyle will decide to return to the show.
