Late Saturday night, Netflix released a short teaser trailer for the film. The one minute clip was published to Youtube had more than 4.5 million views in just over 24 hours. Currently, it stands at nearly 7 million views.

Breaking Bad Movie Plot Clues

According to an article published on HypeBeast the upcoming Breaking Bad movie will bring fans face to face with Aaron Paul’s character, Jesse, just after escaping his captors. The film will follow the character as he works through the baggage of his past and tries to secure a future for himself.

The teaser clip does not include footage of Jesse Pinkman’s role. Instead focuses on his long-time associate, Skinny Pete. In the clip, Pete is being questioned by the FBI. The footage implies they are trying to pry information from him regarding Pinkman’s whereabouts. Skinny Pete goes into a short monologue where he tells authorities that he doesn’t know where Jesse is. He also iterates that he wouldn’t help them if he did. The dialogue suggests that Jesse was locked up by other dealers and forced to ‘keep cooking’. It’s likely the Breaking Bad movie will go into greater detail on those events.

Will Bryan Cranston reprise his role?

The HyperBeast article reports that the film’s synopsis does not include Bryan Cranston’s former lead Breaking Bad character, Walter White. Other sources, however, have implied that Cranston is part of the film.

Breaking Bad fans remember that the Walter White character is assumed dead after the dramatic series finale of the series a few years back. Whether or not he is actually ‘dead dead’ is unconfirmed. Many hypothesize that White will serve as a voice of reason for Pinkman. Another popular theory is that Walter might only be present in flashbacks or hallucinations or even what this article calls ‘prequel motifs’ which we can only assume are footage and scenes that happened before the initial start of the Breaking Bad series.

Despite being the focus of the initial teaser trailer – we also don’t know how large of a role the Skinny Pete character will play in the film.  As new trailers and clips emerge it will become more clear whether we can expect him to be a featured role or just a cameo-style role.

Are you excited yet? So are we.
