‘Counting On’: Josiah Duggar Celebrates His 23rd Birthday
In the Duggar family, there is always someone celebrating a birthday. With 19 children, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have a lot going on. Between weddings, courtships, babies, birthdays, and more, Counting On fans have plenty to keep up with too.
On Wednesday, August 28, Josiah Duggar celebrated his 23rd birthday. Josiah is the eighth Duggar child. He married Lauren Swanson in June 2018 after courting for a short time.

The two suffered a miscarriage in late 2018. Now, they are expecting their rainbow baby, which is a baby born after the loss of a baby. This baby is a girl and she will be born in November. The family seems ecstatic about the new little one on the way. There are also several other Duggar baby girls expected to be born in November and another one in late winter or early spring. Counting On fans are excited for all of the babies coming shortly.
How did Counting On star Josiah Duggar celebrate his birthday?
On social media, a few of the stars of Counting On shared photos of their day at Silver Dollar City. This is a theme park in Branson, Missouri. The Duggars frequent this theme park quite a bit. They usually post photos of their trips to the theme park.
This time, it looks like they brought at least some of the kids along. Joseph and Kendra were able to bring Garrett for his first time at Silver Dollar City. Josie, Jim Bob and Michelle’s youngest daughter, is also pictured in a photo from Joseph and Kendra.
In one post, Lauren shared a video of the Collingsworth Family performing at Silver Dollar City. This is a Christian family of musicians. On social media, the Counting On stars shared lots of pictures and videos of their fun day.
Lauren dedicates sweet post to Josiah
On Instagram, Josiah and Lauren share an account. To make his birthday more special, Lauren wrote a sweet message to Josiah on Instagram. She shared a picture of the two of them together, a picture of Josiah as a child, and one of their wedding pictures.
In her caption, she writes,
“Happy birthday to the man of my dreams! I never knew there existed such a thoughtful, giving, and godly man until I met you!. I love your dreamy blue eyes and how they sparkle when you look at me, I love how you can brighten anyone’s day with your humor, l love how many skills and talents you have, I enjoy bragging to people like ‘my husband can do anything’, I love how you love our babies, and I love how our baby girl reacts to her daddy’s voice by her sweet kicks.”
Finally, Lauren adds, “I am so thankful to be married to such a wonderful husband. I Love you sugar!!!”
Between the love he received from his wife and the fun day with his family at Silver Dollar City, it sounds like Josiah had a great 23rd birthday.
