Derek Dillard Implies Wife Jill Duggar Might be On Birth Control in Recent Social Media Post

Counting On fans are definitely a buzz with curiosity and opinion today after Derek Dillard implied that his wife, Jill Duggar, might be on birth control despite her family’s super strict religious background.

The inquisition about the couple’s use of contraception comes after a recent post on the couple’s blog. In the post titled ‘Hot Love: How to Love Your Wife Like You Mean It’, Dillard went into a bit of detail about his sex life with Jill. The happily married father of two encourages male fans to make time for sex. He also suggests finding other ways of ‘being intimate’ when intercourse isn’t an option.

“Have lots of good s*x! You both need this time together regularly (5-6 times (or more) a week is a good start). Guys, you need to keep yourself ‘joyfully available’ for your wife, because only you can fulfill certain desires she might have … And when you may not be able to actually have intercourse for a period of time or for health issues, find other ways to have fun and be intimate. Let your spouse know that you’re always available. Guard against fulfilling sexual desires alone.” — Dillard

According to a recent article published on Pop Culture Dillard posted the piece in response to another post put up a few months back by his wife, Jill.  The Duggar daughter wrote a very similar post from the perspective of the wife.

So is Jill Duggar on birth control?

While we can’t confirm with absolute certainty — Dillard may have unintentionally implied that his wife uses some form of birth control.

Jill posted the piece to her Instagram feed — and the judgments and questions began to roll in quickly. One area of interest for readers was how much sex the couple was having and suggesting to others.

“How are you guys having s*x 5-6 times a week and you aren’t pregnant again?? You guys don’t believe in birth control so there are some lies in this somewhere. Lol” A fan commented on the post. Shortly after, Derek made a comment of his own letting everyone know that he and Jill do not take a negative stance on birth control.

“We never said we don’t believe in birth control… misconception (no pun intended) #547324. My parents waited 11 years to start having kids, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Each Christian family should follow God’s leading for their own family, regarding when and how many kids to have.”

Dillard’s comment was meant to defend against the suggestion of deceit, it also alludes to the fact that Jill might actually be on birth control.  Derek was quick to inform readers that they are not against contraceptives. He also revealed that his parents used them also.

While a lot of negative and accusatory comments are present on the post – there are also plenty of supportive comments as well.  One commenter pointed out that no matter what they post – some people are always going to find something negative to say about it.  “If you don’t want your marriage to be like what he described, then don’t model your marriage after it.” The fan said to other readers.
