‘Bachelor In Paradise’: Demi Burnett Likes Derek Peth For ‘The Bachelor’
Bachelor in Paradise fans didn’t all like the idea of Demi Burnett on the show.
TV Shows Ace reported, “It doesn’t seem like everyone is happy that Demi’s girlfriend came to paradise though. A lot of people have taken to social media to explain it doesn’t make sense that someone who isn’t part of Bachelor Nation is there. Not only that, but why are all these people who are already in relationships on the show?”
But, moving on from that criticism, Demi Burnett nevertheless likes him for The Bachelor.
Bachelor in Paradise star Demi came out as bisexual, broke up with Derek Peth
ET Online ran an exclusive about Demi and Derek Peth. Demi, who came out as bisexual, opted to break up with Derek for her girlfriend. Actually, Derek seemed very nice but simply couldn’t compete for Demi’s heart.
As ET explains, “Weber and Mike Johnson are among the men” being considered for The Bachelor. However, according to their sources, “there has been some chatter among the producers about Peth as The Bachelor following his Bachelor in Paradise breakup with Burnett.” But, they note he never received an offer yet.
One might think that Demi and Derek are not on talking terms after the Bachelor in Paradise breakup. However, Demi explained that’s not the case at all.
In fact, he came off as such a gentleman about it all that he “blew” Demi away.
She said: “He’s mature and he obviously knows how to have good conversations, and even tough conversations…He makes people feel good, and he really is a good guy.”
In fact, despite a potentially awkward situation, Kristian and Demi “hung out with him all the time. ”
Why Demi Burnett likes Derek for The Bachelor
It’s already obvious why Demi likes Derek for The Bachelor. After all, he never made anyone feel uncomfortable. Actually, fans were heartbroken on his behalf. But, he never behaved badly. And, let’s face it, he had every reason to do so.
Demi noted in her interview with ET, “I will support him whatever he wants to do. I just want him to be happy.”
Nevertheless, she made it clear she won’t “campaign” form him. Demi’s got other Bachelor in Paradise friends and she’s concerned her support might help those friends miss out on “the gig.”
While Derek’s not yet been asked about the next Bachelor, fans already familiar with him probably won’t mind him getting another shot at love. We saw him star in 2016’s The Bachelorette with JoJo Fletcher. Next, he turned up in Bachelor in Paradise. In season 4, he ended up engaged to Taylor Nolan. However, it never lasted and they split up in June last year.
