Lindsie Chrisley Expected Alleged Tax Charges On Her Dad, But Not Bank Crime

Lindsie Chrisley

Lindsie Chrisley broke away from the TV show Chrisley Knows Best and became estranged from her dad, Todd. Recently, Todd and his wife Julie were indicted on charges of conspiracy to commit bank fraud, and federal tax evasion. While he faces up to 30 years in prison if found guilty, he also faces allegations of extortion by Lindsie.  Now, Lindsie told Radar Online that she expected her father’s tax indictment but never knew of any bank crimes.

Lindsie Chrisley and the extortion claim

TV Shows Ace reported about the extortion claims by Lindsie. We wrote, “In a police report, she stated both her father and her brother said they wanted her to lie about an incident. If she didn’t they would release a s*x tape of her with two Bachelorette alumni.” However she never said what the lie was and actually never denied it was anything to do with the current mess Todd and Julie find themselves in.

Whatever it was all about, we do know that Lindsie feels that Todd never really wanted reconciliation between them. Now, she’s quite vocal about her dad who claims to love her in public, but behind the scenes, it’s allegedly a different story. So, if Lindsie with an ax to grind cares to, she could really try and put him out while he’s down.

Todd and Julie federal tax evasion case expected by Lindsie

According to an interview by Radar Online, Lindsie expected the tax evasion indictment. However, accompanied by her attorney, she noted it was just a matter of when. “I was told that it was coming so I wasn’t surprised…Maybe the timing I was surprised…but not the fact that it was happening,” she said. Lindsey spoke to Radar from her attorney’s office in Georgia. It seems she needs to carefully say what she does and doesn’t know about the big mess.

With the estrangement, one might assume that Lindise would love to see her dad behind bars. However, Lindsie Chrisley says that’s not what she wants. Radar noted that she “was absolutely not” aware of Todd and Julie’s alleged fraudulent behavior.” Nevertheless, while it all seems much worse with that bank fraud tagged on top of tax evasion allegations, she would not like to see him in prison.

Bank fraud case seems very complex but Todd’s confident

It seems the bank fraud related to an alleged unhappy employee who created fraudulent papers. It goes back a number of years. TV Shows Ace reported that after the indictment, Lindsie Chrisley’s dad’s attorney said, “We are pleased the matter has been resolved today and they’ve been released on their own signature. They’ve been dealing with this since 2012 and we’re going to fight it,” he said. “We’re going to win. They are innocent of all charges.”

What do you think about the news that Lindsie expected the tax charges on her dad Todd? She claims she never knew about the alleged bank crimes. Or, at least the inference is, she never told on her dad to anyone if she did know. Do you think it’s all terribly sad to see the family fractured like this?
